It’s not easy being a strict vegetarian in Labuan Bajo, but L+ Restaurant stands out for its ability to accommodate both vegetarians and vegans better than the two neighboring restaurants. That’s why we chose to dine at this lovely place.

We were warmly greeted by Arabella, who gave us an overview of the dining areas and restaurants, and even asked for our names. Once we chose L+, she handed us the menu and invited us to take our time reviewing it.

We ordered the Cabbage & Friends appetizer, Edamame Hummus, and two pizzas – Margherita and Quattro Formaggi. We had a few questions, and it was refreshing to see how knowledgeable Arabella was about the ingredients in each dish. Another pleasant surprise was how she addressed us by name throughout the evening and regularly checked in to ensure everything was to our liking.

The food was served in the right order, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. My husband is very particular about how his pizza is cooked and served – and he was truly impressed by the pizza chef’s skills.

The dining room is stylishly decorated and offers a romantic ambiance, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Likely the most amazing dining experience of my life - hard to believe it happened in Labuan Bajo. Food: superbe (octopus, the most tender I have ever had in my life). Drinks: absolutely perfect (the mocktail truly special, the juice served without ice nor sugar). Service: we had 3 of the kindest waiters I have ever come across and 2 wonderful chefs completely dedicated to us and accommodating any petty customisation of the dishes, really a big thanks and a big tip deserved. Food was awful. Lobster was over cooked. Chicken was terrible quality (sinew/fatty) served with cold mashed potato and a bad sauce. Octopus was ok but acompanied with potato wedges??? Cocktails were minimal in variation and not great. The staff were exremely nice and were it not for them the night woukd have been awful. My partner and i read the reviews and had our last night on the island planned for a special meal together. I dont know how they have so many great reviews as this was sub par at best.
