I had a disappointing experience here, despite high hopes from my dive shop's recommendation. Upon arrival, I was told the restaurant has three sections and the jetty part wasnât open yet, so I ordered breakfast from the foyer. However, I soon saw people going to the jetty, and when I asked to move there, I was told Iâd have to pay for my breakfast first, as the jetty is a "different" part of Le Bajo. This was confusing since I thought it was all the same restaurant.
Instead of being told to wait for the jetty to open, I was misled into ordering from the foyer. Once seated at the jetty, I still hadn't started eating because they brought over the manager to confirm the restaurant situation and payment. The manager said it was the same place, but the whole process was frustrating.
When I asked for a drink menu, the staff brought it but never returned to take my order. It wasn't even busy, so this lack of attention was baffling.
During my meal, I found something questionable in my food, and the waitress insisted to take my entire plate away to confirm with the kitchen. Five minutes later, she returned, saying, "my friend says itâs olive oil, so itâs fine." It felt excessive and completely unnecessary to remove my food just for that.
While the setting and design are beautiful, the service was terrible and left me wondering if I even got the real Le Bajo experience. Unfortunately, poor service ruined what could have been a...
Read moreWe visited Le Bajo for a sunset dinner, but the experience left much to be desired. While the staff were friendly and hospitable, several aspects of our visit were disappointing.
The walk to the restaurant was unpleasant, with smelly and dirty surroundings. Despite the restaurant not being very busy when we arrived, it took an hour for our food to be served. The seafood platter was decent, but the aglio olio was bland and tasted like nothing.
To make matters worse, we were charged for a burnt cheesecake that we never ordered. This billing error was frustrating and showed a lack of attention to detail.
For the price we paid, the experience did not feel worth it at all. The food was average at best, and the long wait and billing mistake added to the disappointment. Considering the cost, I expected much better quality and service.
Ultimately, we decided to take a taxi back to the hotel, even though it was a short distance, as the walk was uncomfortable. While the friendly staff was a highlight, Le Bajo needs to improve its service, food quality, and overall...
Read moreEven we arrived in the pouring rain, and we had no seat in the La Bajo Flores(The are 3 restaurants in the location and they are owned and ran by a same boss), the view in the restaurant was stunning. Staff were friendly and hospitalized.
However there was a big room to improve the service: our bill was overcharged with a dish we did not order. We found out after we just paid. They returned the cash in the dish value. But the worst was we realized the service fee was overcharged because of the total was wrong, but they did not return the fee(no one realized it until we already left restaurant). As a tourist, we just let it go, because we believed they were not meant to overcharge us, but just accidently. But the service still needs to be more professional.
Plus the food was not good enoughďź The best was the Sashimi, while the roasted octopus was not fresh at all; the crab in the rice was overcooked and the rice was not cooked enough. As the restaurant was located in a place where was boasted with seafood, this dinner experience was...
