A really lovely place to get affordable yet tasty food and drink as well a pretty rooftop view.
I stayed at Seaesta next door and came for three evening meals.
This is a great place to get coffee! They have four blends to choose from and can tell you the characteristics of each as well as serving teas. I tried the ginger coffee (good!), ice milk coffee (sweet which is why I liked it but if you don’t want that the ice cappuccino looked amazing) and ice milk ginger (slightly spicy and yummy!!).
The food is really tasty and super affordable. I had the mie goreng and gado gado which both were really tasty and great portions. My sister got the nasi goreng with lemon basil which was tasty as well! If you are in a rush for food I don’t recommend as it can take a while and in a large group you may get served meals at different times. Beautiful mountain/sea view. Relaxing chill atmosphere. Barista Lastri: super nice and knowledgeable. Visited 3 X’s and met the amazing owner and his family. They have a true love for their country, community and coffee. Thank you all for your hospitality.
Coffee: Rare “organic” coffee from Manggarai-Flores
First choice Juria, V60, medium roast: Hot Americano. notes: lemon zest, black tea . Smooth, bold and consistent throughout.
Second choice Yellow Catura. V60, Medium roast. Hot Americano. Fruity and sour. From Hot to room temp, the taste becomes stronger.
Both had their own unique and flavorful qualities. Ended up purchasing 800 grams.
