Not much really to shout out about..
It’s Sundanese foods, where u can take whatever u want for ur meal n they will cook/reheat, n serve it for u.
But my highlight is poor hygiene for a restaurant category. Surprisingly, people keep come even they see what I saw. Either we are in the state of lack of knowledge of hygienic foods or being just ignorant as we have no power to change it. Worst by neither the government nor the owners have an interest on this health matter.
Food: standard, chilies r just okay. U can take the rice as u want. Portion is good.
Service: serve urself at the beginning, pass it to the staffs to cook it for u, n they will serve it to ur table. I’d say, practical.. the staffs r quite attentive in their own way.
Ambience: it’s 1 level up from the street foods. But I concern with the hygiene level. They have kitchen, sink, n all as it supposed to be.. but I am questioning it, as I see.. things r quite not clean. From the table they display the foods, the floors, the cutleries. It feels u r still eating in the street food but with a roof n walls. N curious on how do they clean the vegs… do they wash it thoroughly with drink water? Do they wash it with vegs soap to make sure it’s safe for the customers? Because so far based on my observation, they cut the fruits with their bare hands without washing them. No hygiene measurements were applied ☹️
Price: for the price I paid, I wouldn’t say it’s a good bargain. I had 2 satay (skin & liver-gizzard), 1 lung, 1 sayur asem, 1 rice, 1 ice tea.. costed me idr 70k. With that price, I deserved good hygienic level, not half.
I appreciate that it is a senior restaurant in that area.. it is there for decades as far as I know. But I hope they can be more aware on their customers’ healths better as their price is not a street food category.
Will I come back again? Nope unless they address...

Just hop on TransJakarta bus 5M or take the KRL and get off at Cikini Station—it’s a short walk from there. Plus, if you’re out and about on the weekend, it’s a solid food stop before/after visiting Perpustakaan TIM, Monas, or the National Library.
Came on a weekend evening, and the food selection was still stacked—think pepes ayam, pepes jamur, empal, paru goreng, lele goreng, cumi goreng, ikan goreng, hati goreng, and more. The best part? Rice is self-service and unlimited, and the sambal is served in a massive cobek (perfect for drowning your plate in spicy goodness). The lalapan (fresh veggies) are clean and complete, from cucumber to basil, lettuce, and cabbage.
Lowkey sad because I came a bit late and missed out on the sayur asem—but hey, still worth it. Portions here are HUGE, so if you’re planning a big feast with fam or friends, this is the place. Service? Fast and super friendly.
If you’re craving authentic Ampera-style Sundanese food in Jakarta, this place is a no-brainer. Just be smart about timing—lunchtime gets packed, so come in the evening or night for a chill experience. Definitely coming back for round two (and hopefully, sayur asem...
Read moreRM Makan Ampera 2 Tak delivers on taste with dishes that are simply amazing. However, brace yourself for the bill as it tends to lean towards the pricey side, possibly due to its downtown location. Despite the cost, the flavor experience makes it worth the splurge. One thing that sets this place apart is its array of condiments, allowing you to tailor your meal to perfection. And when it comes to veggies, they don't disappoint – fresh and crisp, they're a delightful addition to any dish. Their sayur asam is a standout, hitting all the right notes with its tangy goodness.
During my visit, the restaurant was bustling with customers, which speaks volumes about its popularity. However, one downside was the noticeable presence of used tissues on the ground, which could detract from the overall dining experience. Another minor inconvenience is that they only accept cash, so make sure to have some on hand. Despite these drawbacks, RM Makan Ampera 2 Tak remains a must-visit for those craving exceptional flavors in a...
