DAIMA NORWOOD HOTEL — Hotel in Jakarta

Stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included, and I'd say this was the best night of my life. Arrived at the hotel around 2 pm-ish and they only had the room ready at the 2nd floor. I requested the high floors room at first but it's not a big deal for me. The room was clean enough, we got towel and amenities that we need.

Indeed the toilet floors are quite crusty and the shower looks old but it doesn't hinder the water flow. The best thing here for me was we got a mini fridge inside the room and a safety box which was really needed.

Breakfast was amazing, they got a toaster to toast the bread, there were several options on menu and they had dessert too. The staff were also not only friendly but also helpful and very dexterous.

Wifi was quite fast, TV inside the room is just filled with basic channel and no TV cable. However the rooftop was okay, there was not much landscape view to see in my opinion.

I'd say to pay around 400-450k/night this hotel is very worth the price considering all the facilities they given to us. Definitely will recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

P.S: it's quite interesting to me considering the hotel is located very near with a railroads but you can barely hear the sound of it....

Update: Money was refunded. Impression remained, but the service of the hotel was excellent.

This hotel was a very disappointing experience, unfortunately.

The room and the shower were dirty, it smelled funny and in the sheets were big yellow-brown stains.

Staff helped us to change rooms. In the other room the shower was very dirty and there were big yellow-brown stains on the bed.

We agreed on the room anyway, provided that the sheets would be changed for clean ones. Staff agreed to our complaints and promised to have it all altered for the better before we would come back.

At the end of the evening we went back to the hotel to find a dirty room and no sheets changed. So, no sleep, but a talk to the staff.

Foolishly, we paid for 3 days in advance. When we asked our money for two days back, the staff said that was unfortunately not possible. They would ask, but didnot promise anything.

A very bad hotel, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Update: staff gave a new sheet with only one faint stain.

Tomorrow maybe the director of the hotel will be available, but hopes...

New Hotel with not so many facilities, only wifi and breakfast. (plus): new, neat, clean, located near Bunda Hospital, friendly and helpful crews, provide free transport from Morula IVF to Hotel after surgery. (minus): no space other than room and lobby for guest to relax, restaurant is tiny, location is on one way street and difficult to spot from main street, no convenience store near hotel

P.s: -for rent a pillow the cost is 50k a piece/day -in our experience, food stain (such as sambal/chili stain) on your bed sheet will cost you 200k-399k (for their laundry bill)

Conclusion: because we can't guarantee on our next stay that our food won't make a stain on our bedsheet (this hotel should be suitable for medical purpose where patient oftenly eat on their bed) we won't go back to this hotel. Because we are worried that the penalty will exceed the hotel bill itself 😁 but if u careful with your food, it's a clean and friendly hotel and in a walking distance from...
