A cozy industrial-style cafe inside Pasaraya. Relatively new and had signage at the front of the alleyway outside Pasaraya that says "Korean-style Bagel inside!"
The cafe is moderately sized, was air-conditioned (quite chilly, too), offered free WiFi, had racks for their sold merchandises, had a built-in mini smoking room, and also a hidden toilet! 👍✨️ Very thoughtful of the management. Everything's clean and neatly ordered. Aside from your regular table for two, they also had several sets of low camping chairs and table in the middle so people have more seating options.
We came at around 11 AM. Though there's no queue, the cafe's already quite packed. Some people worked on their laptops (a sign there's probably charging sockets?) The noise was moderate. Customers can make their purchase right upfront at the cashier or order on the table via QR. Since we planned for a long chat, we did the latter.
After our orders came, we learned that there's also a counter for self-service where we could fetch plates and utensils (the orders come without utensils), tissues, toothpicks, sugar packets and generic bottled sauces.
Our bagels were each served on light and uneven stainless plates; cutting them with knife and fork can be a bit of a work because of this, so it's better to just bite them straight.
We tried: Salted Bagel (27k) 8.0/10 ⭐️ Callebaut Chocolate Pistachio (45k) 8.3/10 ⭐️ Seoul Bagel (37k) 5.0/10 ⭐️ Dirty Latte (45k) 8.8/10 🌟 Warm Heart Tea (28k) 7.8/10 ⭐️
The bagels weren't your typical chewy and super dense ones - they're more airy and soft. They're quite big in diameter so you don't feel ripped off from paying the price. I've heard that dipping the savoury ones in the cream cheese they sold was highly recommended, but due to the extra charge, we chose to enjoy it dry 👌
The Salted Bagel tasted gently salty and smelled buttery. Plain, humble and unpretentious. It was the most delicate and light out of the 3 bagels we ate, and it's the only one I felt like ordering more of 😌 The Callebaut Chocolate Pistachio was a beautiful mix of chocolatey dough and sweet pistachio filling. Every flavor component goes well together. My husband loved it for the complexity, the layered smell, and how full you feel after finishing it. It's the most nuanced of all 3 ✨️
The Seoul Bagel was something I thought the signage was trying to market, so I ordered it. The way it's covered with cornflakes perhaps was to achieve layered texture, but the cornflakes I tasted were tough, 'alot', and clings hard to your teeth. They're not light and cripsy like the cornflakes you eat fresh from cereal boxes - it's very unrelenting to crack, perhaps either due to initial baking heat or the way it's preserved. The salty taste of the bagel and the cream itself was okay, though heavily masked by the texture.
The Warm Heart Tea lives up to its name - it was warm and comfortingly fragrant. It had a light ginger scent and a very strong herbal smell that wafted and seized the entirety of my nose! 👏
The Dirty Latte was the winner for us: it's bold, smelled strong and exquisite, and very dense in taste as well as texture 👑 We were unsure what the 'crazy rich milk' part was and forgot to ask the waiter, but it's rich and very creamy. My husband's a big fan and it delivered the zing for him to work later through the day.
All the staffs were very friendly and accomodating! 🙏 None looked bored tending to customers' requests - they looked very glad to serve. And we definitely enjoyed our stay here.
5/5 for a great cafe. Hope the Seoul Bagel can...
Read moreThe entrance we went into was in between K-stop korean mart & Kyuka ramen. The cafe located on ground level at the other end of the entrance, near anytime fitness. It's a bit secluded because there's a construction of a shop in progress (in the middle of the retail floor) which covered the way to this cafe. But it was worth the hassle & confusion. The cafe gave out a wonderful vibe & ambiance.
Variety of bagels: Smoked beef & cheese Goguma Cinnamon crunch Belgian choco pistachio Blueberry crumble Seoul bagel -corn, beef, cornflakes & cheese Bagel boy- butter & expresso coffee Salted bagel - Favorite Pumpkin bagel
The bagel is the type of bagel which a bit crunchy on the outside & hollow (not too dense) on the inside. It was served warm on our table.
We ordered: Cinnamon crunch - cinnamon sprinkled on top, there's cinnamon filling swirled on the inside Callebaut chocolate pistachio - chocolate glazed on the half top on the outside, generous filling of chocolate sauce & green pistacchio sauce. My favorite 👍 Blueberry crumble - more dense on the inside (because there's no filling), than the other bagels, with crumble sprinkled on top. The blueberry was not seen, i think its in the slightly blueish dough. Perfectly paired with their cream cheese.
Original cream cheese - thick & creamy, slightly sweet cream cheese
White - hot - bold & brave coffee double shots. Hubby love it so much. "Proper coffee" he said. Too strong for me. The single shot would be more suitable for me.
Fior de crema - tasted like slushy ice (Frappuccino) coffee with milk & crushed peanut brittle. I asked for it to be less sweet, and it was perfect.
The service was great. Although it was packed and there's some queue line at the cashier area, the waiting time was not too long. The waitresses were all kind, always smiling & helpful. At first we were getting a small table, but once a bigger table cleared out, they let us move there. It didn't take long for all of our...

Come here twice.
There is no problem during the first visit since I order for take-out. However, since there are many people who order for take-out, the cafe is SO crowded. I won’t feel comfortable If I have to stay and eat at the very crowded yet small space like that.
The second visit was A DISASTER. It was 4 PM, many empty tables and only several people in the cashier queue. Surprisingly, even though there were only 3 people in front of me, I have to wait for 10 minutes. The cashier and the server WORKS SO SLOW. The cashier even had time to gossiping with other staff?? When It was my turn, I was told that I DO NOT NEED TO QUEUE FOR DINE-IN ORDER AND CAN DIRECTLY GO TO ANY TABLES. But, there is NO SIGN AND NO SERVER in the front. Luckily, like I’ve said, there’s many empty tables so I just take it easy.
However, after paying my orders, I have to wait for 20 FREAKING MINUTES JUST FOR A BAGEL?!?!?!? The bagel is clearly available as displayed in the front-display. YET THEY TOOK A LONG TIME FOR PREPARING IT? Not making any sense.
There are also too many waitress but they only chat with each other and keep ignoring my hand sign (like I literally raise my hands for asking help, hello???)
Definitely won’t...
