Bakerzin Plaza Senayan — Restaurant in Jakarta

I recently visited Bakerzin in Senayan and tried their Two-Storey Burger (chicken burger) and Mighty Meat (meatball spaghetti). While the burger was okay and had decent flavor, the spaghetti was quite disappointing as it came without the promised meatballs, and instead was more of a bolognaise spaghetti. It was quite disappointing and not what I expected.

To make matters worse, the glass we were served was ridden with ants, and even though the staff changed the glass and ice, we were not offered a replacement for the half of my sparkling water that I had already wasted. This ruined the experience for us and made us question the restaurant's hygiene standards.

The service was mediocre at best, and we had to wait quite a while before being served. Moreover, when I brought the ant-infested glass to the attention of the staff, they didn't seem to take it seriously.

Overall, my experience at Bakerzin was quite disappointing. While the burger was decent, the spaghetti was below average, and the ants in the glass were off-putting. I also felt that the quality of the restaurant has declined compared to my previous visits. I would recommend being cautious if you decide...

So-so food & desserts, though the macaroons are still unrivaled and is still best in town up until now. Rather slow service in beverages in which the food came first before the water, and also trouble with preparing utensils for guest to eat (food first, ask for utensils, then they finally gave one). This happened a couple of times before as it is quite hard to get some of the waiter's attention.

Was going to give 4 star for decency but decided to give 2 stars due to one of the manager 'begging' (the usual 'coming to our table and asking for commentary about the service & food') for a 5 star review, yet blatantly ignoring and brushing off the complaints that I have previously mentioned before and forcing us to only send 5 star reviews.

Disappointing experience, and rather rude as well. Asking for reviews and opinions are okay, but forcing them isn't. I have now changed the stars back to my original opinion of the restaurant PLUS this...

My visit to Bakerzin was unfortunately a disappointing one. Right from the moment we entered, we were greeted by an off-putting smell reminiscent of a used diaper with a foul odor. Despite choosing to sit outside the restaurant, the smell lingered intermittently, making our dining experience uncomfortable and distressing. The smell was so overwhelming that it left a lasting negative impression on me. I did bring up the issue with the manager, but sadly, it seemed my concerns weren't taken seriously and the root cause was not addressed. This experience has left me quite disheartened as I had hoped for a better dining experience.

I hope the management can address such issues promptly in the future to ensure a pleasant environment for all patrons. A thorough check of the area for potential sources of the bad odor, such as a trash can or other factors, could have greatly improved...
