The so called major difference between samrat and the other bakso (meatball w/broth) is the broth, so called unclear broth derived from long boiling of cow bones and part meat. The other difference for me is the quality of the minced meat as the base of the meatball, either it is a regular ball (smooth minced meat) or "muscular" ball(bakso urat), combination between smooth minced meat and cow tendon and or mucle part hence creating a "tough" meaty yummy sensation when you eat it hehehe. But when we bought the meal a few days ago, the broth remain the undisputed legend for us, but the bakso urat, what the h.....the mucle part is far than tough, eating the ball as if someone is boxing in your mouth, jab, jab, straight.....OMGGG....what the h* happen with my fav meal, oh 1 more thing, the fried dumpling which usually accompany the bakso, what the h* happen even with this side dish, it is smaller and far less crunchier ...it seems that every fav meal is going wrong during this pandemi.....dunno what to say, hope everything will be ok just the way it...
Read moreBest meatball (bakso) broth in my opinion, very thick and has a good depth on the flavour. The texture of the meatballs (bakso) was springy and bouncy, but also firm to be chewed. The filling and portion were pretty generous, and I love that we can ask for extra soup.
Price was a bit premium compared to other bakso seller, but it was worth the money since the taste and portion were great. The iga rusuk (ribs) were big and had a lot of meat on it.
Place could be crowded many times, and some days they sold out fast that the place will be close earlier. Parking space was plenty since there are many other shops around.
Service was fast and people were helpful. Will visit again...

For meatballs, I really appreciate the beef and the meatball sauce is very different from other meatball restaurants, despite the price, which I think is quite expensive for a meatball bowl.
For dessert we ordered es Pisang ijo, I was quite surprised with the taste, the syrup taste was very sweet and the banana very soft, we recommend this dessert.
The place needs improvement because it is quite hot for a meatball restaurant , the air conditioner should be turned on to eat would be...
