Went there on a Saturday at odd hours around 11ish AM hence It was quiet. The restaurant presents its self in a classy Javanese style with wooden chairs and tables and a lot of traditional ornaments which go well with the whole design.
I like the atmosphere, cozy, friendly staff.
The foods were good but was surprised at the quantity, so small. Their most popular dish -- ayam goreng basah -- (fried free range chicken) was good, delicious, I cannot complain about the taste or presentation but the size, yes. It was super small for that price.
Their bakwan jagung is one of the best I ever eat.
They have this "brown rice" offered on a big sign but when I ordered it, they said they dont have it. Too bad. Less alternatives of rice for me.
Think it will be good to eat there at odd hours, because the place itself is not so big and I cannot imagine if they are full house. If you look for quality foods and don't mind about the price, yes can come here. It is not exorbitantly high, just a bit pricey for the chicken. Will I go there again? Oh yes, sure I will as now I have already amended my...
Read moreI love this place. Authentic sundanese experience. The sambal was great, the chicken was amazing, the price is super affordable I spent 100k for two people for two whole meal? Yes please. And the Sayur Asem was sooo good it reminds me of my mother's recipe. Refreshing through and through.
The waiter, or was it the manager? Was very helpful with us. We came in and the place was packed because during Ramadan we should've made a reservation, but he said he'd call us when there's a table ready. So we went for a walk around the area and 45 minutes later he called us, set up the table, fast service and all. Now that's high quality hospitality.
The place is a bit tiny, tiny parking space and all, but we love the decorations remind me of my home in Bandung, so chic. I think since it's Ramadan that's why everyone came at the same time. Regardless I can't wait to come again. Don't forget to make...
Read moreThis Sundanese restaurant has decorations with an ancient concept. The restaurant is decorated with lamps with antique shades, wooden doors, carvings and paintings, also pictures of products from the 80s and 90s. The food menu consists of Sundanese dishes. There are nasi liwet package and ala carte if you want to order individually. The taste of the liwet rice is delicious, there are anchovies too. The piece of ayam goreng basah is has a small size. Maybe because of it is ayam kampung. But the taste and seasoning are delicious. What I like the most is the mushroom pepes. Not oyster mushrooms, but they use champignon mushrooms. The pepes is also seasoned well. The nasi goreng kampung is also delicious like home fried rice. The price is also...
