Bier 'n' Flugel — Restaurant in Jakarta

Two storey sportsbar with two TV monitors one on each end of the downstairs bar. Downstairs is a little underlit but well airconditioned. Respectable choice of beers available with the 1liter mamouth BaliHai Premium Pilsner " Minime " at approx. +/- RP 50.000,00 being the star. Not shown on the menue but available upon request are wines and liquers. Their food is is pretty decent mixed indonesian-western bar grub. Don't miss out on their chicken wings which I would rate as being among the best to be found in Jakarta. Spicy tofu, mushroom pizza, spicy mushroom aglio olio and oxtail soup I would also consider to be rather tasty. All food is Halal but right next door is Made's Babi Guling Resto. Beer&Fluegel is my local watering hole and friends and guest of various european nationalities that I have taken there...

The place is quite small if you compare this to beer garden at SCBD, but other than that I'd like to recommend this place for you to hang out with friends and drinking beers. Here is why : Friendly prize Food portion is enough to make you full and tasted good too Various menu for all categories : beer/non beer, snacks, beverage. All area is smoking area with air conditioner. It's quite hard to find a place like this, even in Jakarta. Yes, smokers need air conditioning too The atmosphere is fine, the bar in 1st floor is not that large but still look nice

The only cons I could find : The size of the area The wifi connection on the 2nd floor is very bad If you are not a smoker and doesn't like the smell of cigarette this ain't the place for you

Simple place to enjoy my snowy beer, nasi goreng & spicy tofu with a friends. In my own personal taste, they have the BEST nasi goreng kampung in town! Great friendly staff - good price - lots of promotion - variation good food menu. Love the music line up, most of time :)

Personal favorite --- the atmosphere is just right for fun with friends, but nothing to much --- and the best part is its a very casual place just for a people who likes to enjoy beer and no fuss...
