i got an unfortunate experience back there i asked about pasta something vs lobster butter rice which one has spicy and a staff told me that pasta got black pepper so it must be spicy, but not that too spicy and i thought, okay i'm not a fan of blackpepper, it made me sore throat as well, so i won't order pasta and the same staff asked me about the meat, which i thought a lobster meat shouldn't be well-done cooked, it will be too hard and not that great taste and i told her i need medium cooked few moments later, the food came out and voila, i got pasta i complained it at first but not the same staff that came to me before and he then checked the list first then told me that it was written pasta not lobster i told him that i cannot eat this because it's spicy and he told me you should try because it won't be too spicy, just a lil bit

they (staffs) should have known that a mistake order is very common in restaurant especially when it's too noisy (there was a live music) but the way they solve this mistake is unforgiven why? i asked them to check the note, but it was written in phone, and he didn't asked the staff that served me before i told him the reason why it was mistaken and why i couldn't eat this pasta, but he insisted me to just take this food and not complaining (i can sense it with his gesture and the way he speak) i didn't asked once, but twice and he didn't realize it was a force to tell him that i don't really want this pasta. but he didn't give me any solution to solve this and just left me with this food

and there i was eating this pasta it has sirloin meat, this meat is nice, tender, delicious but this pasta is very big, wide, and too much for me it has blackpepper taste (of course) but this pepper taste is too much even it has creamy truffle sauce too

at that time i was eating together with my business partner with separately tables they didn't offer me about beer, but other table got offered and when they finally offered me, they only asked: "do you wanna drink beer?" they didn't serve me with beer glass / wine glass nor they asked me which i choose bintang or german beer they just open bintang and put it in front of me meanwhile, my other business partner that separately table behind me, they got an ice bucket with german beers inside

at first impression, i thought wow, it has so many servers because 1 customer served with 1 staff but it was all useless when you cannot keep up with my order and my request...

Black Owl represents 2022 most trendy bar and restaurant in Pantai Indah Kapuk. With its dim light tables, it really sets a relax dining experience.

There menu are also well diverse from their choices of signature cocktails to selection of pasta, meat & poultry dishes. I must say their cocktails and scallop macaroni and cheese were exceptional.

However, I was disappointed with their service tonight. I made a dinner reservation for two at 7pm for dining. Upon arriving at Black Owl, the person at the Concierge Desk confirmed our dinner reservation and mentioned that we could use that table after 9pm if we wanted to watch the Live Music Performance. Hence, after we ate our dinner, we stayed for 2 hours until 11pm to watch the Live Performance.

When I ask for the bill, the waiter said that I haven’t met the minimum charge of 1.2juta!!! I was like what the hell?? I wasn’t inform of this T&C at the restaurant concierge that there was a minimal charge? By T&C and Clausal Law you are required to state this information in the booking or notify the customer in person. If, the restaurant don’t state this fact, than it is the restaurant’s negligence and staff negligence to not inform their customer.

However, I was shocked by their reaction when I express my frustration with the waiter and restaurant manager that this minimal charge of 1.2jt was not informed to me by the guy at the restaurant concierge. He said, we can use the table past our dinner booking time.

However, my complaint stating that their staff has made an error was not acknowledged, and I was forced to pay the Minimum Charge. That is completely outrageous!!! Their action today proofs that they do not want to admit their mistakes, and does not value us...
