Dragon Hot Pot PIK — Restaurant in Jakarta

During my recent visit to Dragon Hotpot Jakarta, I had high expectations given the brand’s reputation, especially after experiencing their outlet in Melbourne. Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short in several aspects.

We ordered the Bone Spicy Soup as our broth base, but the flavor was underwhelming—lacking the depth and richness that we had come to associate with the Dragon Hotpot name. The spice level was adequate, but the overall taste was one-dimensional, missing the complexity and umami that should define a well-crafted hotpot broth.

Additionally, the selection of ingredients for the hotpot was limited compared to other branches. The variety and quality of meats, seafood, and vegetables did not meet expectations, making the meal feel less satisfying. For a restaurant carrying the Dragon Hotpot branding, consistency across locations is crucial, and this was noticeably lacking.

Service was acceptable, though not exceptional, and the ambiance was standard for a hotpot establishment. However, the core of the experience—the food—was simply not on par with what the brand promises.

We decided to go here for breaking our fast, it is crowded so I don't blame anything in this review about the crowded stuff, we decided to pick the seats after we choose what to include on our hot pot,

My first complaint is about the restaurant's management, if there is a waiting list outside, why is there no one tending the waiting list? even worse, when we asked to one of your waitress, they only smiled and nodded and barely even replied anything! My second complaint is the food, the food itself is fine but how can you possibly get the broth wrong? we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for another one that is correct, luckily we didn't get charged extra or anything, My third complaint and possibly the last, if there is overcapacity on the first floor, why don't you open the second floor as soon as you know it's crowded? even worse, when we ask your waiters about the seats, your waiters said that the ones that didn't order is the ones that is prioritized to place their seats, we entered here first! and you guys decided to let the ones enter last pick their seats?

The other stuff was fine though, atmosphere was fine, food was delicious, service...

I ordered the Collagen and MaLa Tang Mild flavors. for Collagen I really like it with a soup taste full of taste and distinctive taste that is comfortable in my mouth.

for people who don't like spicy, I suggest ordering Collagen instead of Mala Tang Mild. Well, for Mala Tang Mild, honestly, I don't like it and it's not spicy enough in my mouth. if you like spicy I suggest just go for the spiciest level 3 or level 2.

SERVICE at PIK Golf Island is friendly and welcoming. they can help with recommendations for you and the place is very comfortable and clean.

for the PRICE , the promo for BCA credit card users is at least IDR 250.000, and got IDR 50.000 off. my total payment is IDR 215,200 if there is no promo IDR 265,200 I think the price is in accordance with the food with a total food weight of 700gram!
