Fez-Kinara Dining & Lounge — Restaurant in Jakarta

Good idea in general, big variety of food selections, but the service and quality were disappointing!

We visited Fez-Kinara the last weekend for lunch and had some Indian food selection. The food in general was solide, not really impressive and rich in taste, but standard. A big no-go was the alcoholic drinks we ordered. No need for that in an Indian/Marrocan restaurant, but if you offer it, you should be able to serve it right. The wine and beer were mixed with ice cubes and water. You can taste the water and pay the full price for the alcoholic drink which is quite expensive in Indonesia. We stayed until 2:45 pm and the restaurant closes at 3pm, the staff was already waiting for us to leave. Understandable, but the service could be improved to make you feel welcomed as a guest.

I must say that this is not a choice for me to go for indian cuisines.

First I ordered lamb briyani. It tasted okay. It was good actually. Come on, don't claim yourself an indian restaurant if you cannot make great briyani. They did good for this.

Second is cheese naan. The naan is moist but I did not like the portion of cheese that is too much so it makes too salty and it is not melted. More like cheese inside naan. Not recommended.

Last is chicken tikka masala which is too sour in my tongue. I enjoyed it enough but since I used it for naan dipping, the taste is not matched.

I must admit the atmosphere is very nice. But really, if you are looking for indian restaurant, there is other option...

Wow! Felt so good to come back to one of our favorite Indian restaurant in South Jakarta. My husband and I really enjoyed the food , the service , the atmosphere.

We ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Tika and Nan bread . The chicken was so tender , the spices in each dishes was also very perfect! Last but not least, the Nan bread also served warmed and delicious.

Compliments also to the workers. Very friendly, speaks and understand good English , fast service and they always smiling. Thank you so much for welcoming us back again at your place.

We can't wait to go back here when we're visiting Jakarta again.
