Flying Pig — Restaurant in Jakarta

Had a very bad experience here. Service is very bad and even the quality of the food itself is also very bad!! I ordered some food from the menu, but two of them, which was the Pork Mozzarella and the rib ( which they said was their specialty ), compelled me to write this review instead. The reason was because these two dishes took a very long time to be served ( around 30 mins - 1 hour ) and the texture was horrible. Firstly, the Pork Mozzarella took a very long time to come to our table. I kept on asking the waiters and waitresses to know the progress. They kept on saying to wait. But it never came !! Till I got very upset and complained. What made me even more upset, was when I asked one of the waiter regarding it, and he took the menu and asked which one was it! The waiers should be taught more so they will know. Eventually, the Pork Mozzarella came ( after 45 minutes or so of struggling ). I thought it was finally my time to eat, but then when I tried it, oh my. It was very hard and the mozzarella seemed like a very low-quality, cheap one. Finally, I only ate 1/4 of it and did not finish it. The other one, the rib, was even more horrible. This also took a very long time to be served . When it finally came and I tried to slice it, it was as tough as leather. I could not even bite it off the bones!! I complained to the waiter , again, and he offered to cook another serving in exchange for the tough one. I agreed, in hope of a better one. I appreciate the manager coming to me to apologize about it . Fortunately for them, it did not take a very long time to be served ( 7 minutes ). I hoped that it would be better than the first one, but it was just the same!! I only ate a little and then just left it. Their glory and pride, which they highly recommended, was very bad!! If u r a pork lover and try to find heaven, then u must try for this restaurant. It is located in Sunter Agung Tengah & sister company with Pig Hunter. The parking lot is quite huge and the place is also big enough for meeting, gathering or party. They have indoor (with seat around 5 tables) with AC and quite big outdoor (no AC with seat around 12 tables). U can play ludo, ular tangga, halma using the table (quite creative). For the food, u need to order pork knuckle (their favourite menu) for IDR170k++. The skin is so crispy with fat layering and after the third layer, u can find the meat. The second one is pork ribs for IDR170k++ or for American one IDR160k++. The taste of the meat is nice and soft, u can pick up honey sauce, BBQ sauce or black pepper sauce. For the sauce, combination quite limited. If u go there with family or group, u can order nasi acak (mixed rice), consists of rice fo2r 4 - 5 peoples, crispy pork, pork satay, lawar, sambal matah, fried noodle for IDR420k++ and u can share it. Or u can choose the combination of pork platter for IDR210k++ (this one also delicious). Last thing we ordered sei babi rica for IDR65k++ (small size & no box for sharing). For the drinks, u can order beer (any kinds of beer such as Bintang, Raddler, Heineken, San Miguel). However need to have either pitcher or grabbing 3 big bottles with ice bucket. Really like their sei babi rica with sambal matah (u can hear 'kriuk' sound when eating it, so nice. U need to try here to have the sensation of eating pork with lots of pork food combination) 😉😉😉. Bad service with unprofessional waiter and waitress! I even don’t want give a 1 star, should be a 0 star. This restaurant doesn’t deserve any stars.

We ordered 3 main dishes at 7pm.

First dish came at 7.15pm. We finished the first dish and we need to wait for another 15mins to come the second dish. However, the dish that was served was wrong. We ordered buncis telur asin and they gave us toge! They need to cook again and it came at 7.45pm. Another waiting for us.

The worst part, my third dish was somehow forgotten and it was not served till 7.50pm. I asked the waitress and it seemed they forgot. I didn’t have anymore appetite to eat again! We need to wait for several mins to eat from one dish to another dish. I asked them to cancel my third dish cause we need to wait for 50mins and it didn’t come!!!

We came to the cashier to pay. The waitress that i asked to cancel was there also. When i saw the bill, my third dish was charged ! I was so angry and asked that waitress, how come you charged the dish that i even didn’t eat, you definitely knew that dish was not served !!!

What a shameful night !!!!
