Genki Sushi — Restaurant in Jakarta

I thought this kind of place only existed in Japan! The concept is simply wonderful. You sit at a table and you are given an ipad with menu items. Select up to 4 items at a time and hit ‘order.’ Your order comes to your table on 1 of 3 levels, on these food cars and food trains! You hit the blinking button to send the car back to the kitchen.

Free refills on hot and cold green tea - and they waitresses are very good about making sure your cup is full. The employees shout ‘Irashiamase!’ when you enter, making you feel like you are in Japan.

The difference from the Japanese version is how you face the cars in Japan, you can order beer, and each person has their own screen to select menu items from. This one is more community oriented.

Excellent quality fish for a great price. Their mochi ice cream was incredible too, big piece of mochi stuffed. I go their rum raisin and was in heaven. Food comes out quickly after being ordered. Though you are limited to 4 item at a time, you can keep ordering after you send off your request. And you can keep track of your order by viewing the bill, which tells you which items have been delivered and which item are yet to come.
