Gerilya Coffee and Roastery — Restaurant in Jakarta

I usually choose this shop if I have to sit for a long time working on my laptop, or have a casual meetings, or even just hanging out with friends in South Jakarta.

It has air-conditioned indoor smoking area on the second floor, which is convenient to be there even on daytime.

It’s not too crowded there, but most of the daytime visitors tend to sit for a long time working on their laptops. For nighttime, mostly visitors come to hangout after-work with friends, so it’s a bit lively. The music played there was not too loud, not disturbing the conversation the visitors had.

The food was good but not extraordinary. Typical food we can find in many places, but that’s it’s good point that we don’t have to gamble to try new foods that might not suit our palate.

This shop’s strong point is obviously their coffee. If we’re not too sure which to choose, we can ask the waiter about their coffee, or ask for their recommendation.

The service was also good. So far, the waiter was always polite with words dan gesture. And the important point is that after taking orders, they always check whether our order was out of stock or might take a while, and immediately inform us, so we won’t wait long for naught.

Pricewise, it follows the standard price of foods and beverages in South Jakarta.

One of the best vietnam drip i have tasted in my experience of coffee hopping across asia(well maybe just indonesia... but i have high hopes...), they blended it themselves and handled by a certified barista (you can check out the certificate hanging on the wall on the first floor)

The taco thing was delicious and very fulfilling and the selection of board games and books (cooking books esp) was very interesting.

The rooftop is the smoking area, but no one was there, being on the 4th floor its quite an exhausting walk up the very narrow stairs(watch ur steps) but its worth the view and serenity.. surely a place to keep on returning to..

Small venue that provides you variety of caffeine and calorie booster. The baristas are professional, proven by certificates on the wall. The quality of the coffee is also well-maintained since the cafe also function as its own roastery. Menu-wise, it serves variety of coffee beverages and sells beans as well.
