A truly classic Chinese restaurant that should be better known by everyone here!! I honestly had no expectation whatsoever eating here cuz I've never tried it, and Angke has always been #1 Chinese restaurant (family style) for me 🤣
They proved me wrong! At least with their bakmi goreng & lumpia udang. Mannnnn Angke's bakmi goreng got nothing on this, it is more savoury, tasty, just really really good. Also the highlight is their super plump lumpia udang, unlike anywhere else, their lumpia udang is not heavily battered and you can really taste the shrimp meat. They are not skimping! Loved it. It is not too dry as well like most, and paired perfectly with the sauce.
Sweet and sour fish, the size is a tad too small for me, but it is still good. Nothing spectacular. And lastly is their lindung cah fumak. I initially didnt want to gamble on this dish cuz I know no one can make lindung better than Angke, well... Haka did good but not good enough. It is way too much water, should be drier. Some was crunchy some was chewy due to it being soaked in the watery sauce. Veggies are good. But yeah overall could be better.
The staffs are all very attentive, quick to serve especially when refilling our tea. The place is big yet not too packed on a Friday night. Maybe on the weekend? I know for sure their sop gurame is good, but just didnt try it this time.
Nevertheless I definitely recommend trying this place out, they have tons of other menu...

If you’re craving fresh, flavorful Haka dishes served with heart and heritage, Haka Resto at Jl.Pintu Air, Ps Baru is an absolute gem! Our meal here was nothing short of spectacular. We came for dinner on weekdays , the place was not too crowded, we ordered the Gurame Talas (crispy yet tender, bursting with talas and the sauce), Lindung Cah Fumak (a savory veggie delight with perfect wok-tossed), and the Ayam Garam (succulent salt-infused chicken). The Lumpia Udang (shrimp spring rolls) were crispy golden parcels of joy, and the Bakmi Goreng? A stir-fried noodle masterpiece loaded with flavor and fresh ingredients!
Every dish arrived in generous portion and the flavors were good, balanced, and quite nyummy. It’s rare to find a restaurant that nails both authenticity and consistency, but Haka Resto does it effortlessly. The dedication to fresh ingredients and traditional recipes truly shines through.
This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a culinary institution. Whether you’re a Haka food enthusiast or a curious first-timer, you’ll leave planning your next visit. Hats off to the chefs and team—keep the...
Read moreThe waiter dare to ask for tipping him personally and even ask the birthday cake for him even before the party has started since he likes the cake.
We asked permission to put some decorations and the waiter asked me WHO will do the job. After i told them that I will PAY them for stiking the decorations even though it's just a plain cloth and happy birthday flag, there're 6 waiters willing to help (after being told that they will handsomely tipped) I lost some respect in this kind of attitude. Well, the food is good but not the service.
Moreover, they gave different information between college about the discount and asking for downpayment with different amount. One said 500thou the other said 1 million. HRD team, please do something about how to train your waiters and staffs. Please be more considerate and show the professional attitude towards the customers. We paid the bills and gave the tips everytime we came for dinner. Show some respect towards yourselves not as a...
