If you're craving an authentic taste of Japan but don't have time for a trip, Sakabe Restaurant is your perfect solution. The secret to achieving that rich, traditional beef flavor lies in three simple steps: ensuring the meat is close to room temperature before cooking, making sure the broth is hot but not boiling, and gently swishing the meat around. Follow these, and you'll get a taste that rivals what you'd find in Japan! I highly recommend trying the konbu broth—its depth of flavor truly elevates the experience.
Beyond the food, the restaurant is well-maintained and spotless, creating a comfortable dining environment. The addition of air conditioning ensures a pleasant atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy your meal.
The service was excellent. The staff was warm and attentive, and I was particularly impressed with how the manager handled a challenging situation when a young girl attempted to sell napkins at the restaurant. His professionalism and empathy made a lasting impression, ensuring that the atmosphere remained comfortable and welcoming for everyone.
Sakabe closes at 9 PM, but they generously allow customers to enjoy their meals for the entire duration, even though it means the staff stays later to serve guests. While this is a wonderful gesture, I encourage diners to be mindful and arrive earlier out of consideration for the team—they, too, have families waiting for them at home.
One recommendation I would make is for the restaurant to show prices inclusive of tax. Before visiting, I mistakenly assumed their lower pricing reflected inferior quality and service, but Sakabe far exceeded expectations, proving to be much better than a nearby AYCE restaurant. That restaurant only offers one popsicle, whereas Sakabe provides bottomless popsicles when dining in—a refreshing perk, especially in Jakarta’s sweltering heat and humidity!
Overall, Sakabe offers not just a great meal, but an experience that transports you straight to Japan. Highly...
Read moreA decent all you can eat buffet with affordable price. They have a selection of 4 sweet and salty sauces. The main course is comprised of beef, fish, and chicken which you can grill yourself on the table. They use modest lpg-based grill and vegetable oil, so be cautious when grilling because it sizzles. They offer a few selection of side courses, like soup, beef yakiniku, and some kind of crispy chicken skin. There's also rice. For the drinks, they offer matcha latte and milk tea drinks with free refill, and I gotta say they taste good. There's also hot tea if you're not into matcha or milk tea. They sell mineral water, but it's not refill, instead you have to buy per bottle. The air circulation is fine, they've got several ACs and fans. There were also several exhaust fans to clear the fumes from cooking. However they seem a bit understaffed, so the tables weren't thoroughly cleaned, they were covered with a thin film of grease. I recommend you wipe the tables with tissue first. Aside of that, the staff are nice and friendly. 4 stars because it could be better, but overall, for the price: the food, taste, and service are worth it. Will surely come again some time! By the way, they seem halal as they...
Makanan!! Pilihan daging nya cukup bervariasi, standar nya AYCE. Kalau saya tidak salah, kayaknya ada ikan juga deh, potongan nya kotak gitu (tolong dikoreksi kalau salah) Tidak menyediakan air mineral, ada lemari es isinya air putih, tapi kayaknya bayar. Karena ruangan terbuka, kompor jd kena hembusan angin, membuat daging jd lama mateng nya, khususnya saat hujan angin (pas saya dateng lg kondisi hujan) Ada ice cream, sebuah poin plus dari saya, walau eskrim Aice, tp enak. Untuk scoop es krim nya, tolong disediakan tempat khusus, karena orang habis ambil es krim naro scoop nya berantakan, jd lengket scoop nya. Miso sup nya hambar Disediakan side dish jamur krispi, saran saya jgn diambil kalau mau makan daging banyak, karena jamur nya berminyak, membuat kita cepet eneg dan kenyang. Pilihan saus cukup beragam.
(opini personal) Pajak 10%, makan bertiga total 330rb. Waktu makan 90 menit.
