Happy Day Juanda — Restaurant in Jakarta

The worsts services ever. I never been treated like someone who doesn't have money once i entered any restaurant before. Is it bcs i have darker skin (~90% customers were chinese indonesian), or just the waiters/waitresses there just really have bad manners? I asked help bcs the table feet were inbalance but the waiter just walked away without say anything, he helped me finally, but didn't say anything and walked away just like that. I ordered Aussie beef steak, waited till like 45-60 minutes. My drink was there, but my steak not. I thought my dinner was very late to deliver due to crowded, then I asked a waitress about it and she didn't look care at all, not saying anything and walked away like hit, then a waiter came said that my steak will be ready in 7 minutes, also the steak never arrived in 7 minutes. I lost count, but what? it came but the meat didn't look hot, like it's already cooled down. My mood was so bad that i lose my appetite. There was no manager standby there, too bad. I didn't touch my food at all. I protested to the waitress and chasier there about my french fries that never came. Please learn how to apologise instead of giving bullsht excuse. The girl who brought it walked and put it with no smile, didn't say anything, and walked away arrogantly. My jaw dropped saw that kind of manner. And again, instead of apologize that i got, her friends just blame that she was a new employee. Man, I said it was even different person with the one who took order. Were they all new? God, I will never ever come back...

The place was nice, the price was quite good and the taste was so-so, but gotta share on bad service I experienced. I came at night to have a dinner by myself. I was received by a really nice male waiter who also took my orders. I took a small table consist of two chairs. Then after I ordered my food, I requested to move to 4 chairs table with more comfortable position that where I was (the table before was too dark). So I moved with the waiter’s PERMISSION.

Then a female waiter suddenly came to me and ORDERED me to move to another table because apparently there’s a big group coming. The next table surely had “Reserved” sign on it, but not on mine. I thought it’s because the table I was in is reserved so I moved. Turns out the big group costumers were not reserved the table because the female waiter told me they come “out of sudden (“mendadak”)”. I was shocked and I told her “if that table wasn’t meant for me (one person) then said beforehand”. And she didn’t say anything and then just leave. She did NOT ASKED FOR MY PERMISSION TO MOVE TO OTHER TABLE while I was a customer who came earlier than the big groups. What a discriminating way to treat solo customer.

The bad service ruined the whole mood EVEN BEFORE MY FOOD COMES. I ordered lasagna and it tastes quite bland. Their ice honey lime tea was nice to be honest.

Good ambience but 0 transparency about food quality and the ugly services.

Asked waiter what their signature dish and they answered. “happy day steak,” i ordered it but so odd, waiters gives no detail informations about the meat type. I just knew when it come out and its turn out the meat was meltique.. dude, not everyone likes that fake wagyu meat. I checked on the menu book and THERE IS NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE MEAT TYPE ITSELF. God.

Second, ordered salmon steak.. after that meltique meat comes out, 5 minutes still no salmon steak seen. As it turns out, they miss input our order and— our salmon wouldn’t come out if we didn’t ask about it, isn’t? Aduh duh.

Third, we ordered green salad. It good and fresh, but— come on, ini salad masih becek and you served ke kostumer. Keringin lagi lah yaa. Ini green salad, bukan fruit salad yang main ingredient-nya memang berair. Ini sayur bisa lebih kering lagi but yall serve us with this? Disappointed.

Drink was okay. We order 2 drinks, ice cappuccino and fresh orange juice. Cappuccino was okay but the orange juice kinda bitter. You squeeze it too hard.

The only good thing about this place is the decoration and ambience. Hope you change your music selection that fit with the resto itself.
