This is one of the oldest, finest and most expensive Chinese resto for fine dining. Initially they employ a Cheff from HK. It has been run as a family business since 1970s. The location is easy to access. The food are delicious and fresh especially the seafood. We love their steamed prawn, soy sauce fried sotong, fried rice with crab or salted fish, asparagus soup with crab egg as starter, coconut pudding for desert, egg Fo Yong, stir broccoli with garlic, crispy fried chicken, beef steak Hongkong style which is sweet, etc. Price? Expensive. Services are ok as all waiters are friendly and we know them since long time ago. The atmosphere reminds us with old style resto as the interrior and furniture are old, like most of traditional Chinese resto with may big round dining...

Stepping into this restaurant is being brought by a time machine to the the past. The establishment seems effortlessly locked in time without any intention to be renewed. The carpet and the walls smell like museum. Even the restaurant's name is telling you that it has a bygone origin.

The food is excellent and has that nostalgic home made quality. Chinese food at its best, the recipes have been perfected in time. The butter squid is my favorite and the coconut pudding is such an excellent dessert.

Don't be surprised if there's no price on the menu, how they determine the price for each customer is a mystery. If money is no object for you, be their guest, you won't be...

Tiap kali ke Jakarta dan punya waktu senggang buat cari makanan enak (Chinese Food), selalu ke resto satu ini.

Yang pasti dibeli krn tidak pernah mengecewakan: Sotong Squid nya (cumi kecap) Udang rebus (udang kecil / udang api2)

Jenis makanan yang lain juga tdk kalah enak, tapi nasi goreng kepitingnya termasuk biasa saja.

Nasi yg digunakan untuk Chinese Resto sekaliber ini termasuk bukan yang terbaik. Anak2 sy yang hobi nasi goreng lama sekali makanya. Daging kepiting yang digunakan di nasi goreng sy waktu itu agak kering, jadi kurang enjoyable aja makanya (bahasa jawa: seret)

Minuman standar, pilihan daun teh cina cuman 1, sempat salah datang minumannya, tapi karena sy bisa minum ya tetap sy order dan bayar drpd terbuang.

Tempatnya klasik dan terkesan terawat meski sdh bertahun2 jadi langganan, ada detail renov minimalis yang bikin kesan Chinese Resto high end. Acar nya (free) termasuk salah satu yang terbaik di Jakarta, baik dari segi tekstur dan rasanya.

Servisnya sangat bagus, piring kotor tanpa dipanggil selalu diganti piring baru, serasa 🌟 5. Lebih perhatian lah ke pelanggannya, mantab.

Harga: tergolong mahal untuk ukuran Chinese Food yang umumnya lebih terjangkau. Tapi mengingat kualitas yang diberikan dari bahan makanan (kecuali nasinya), citarasa makanan, dan servis yang diberikan juga sangat baik. Harga yang diberikan cukup pantas, karena masih belum ada yg lain yg bisa menyaingi kepuasan makan di resto ini.

Apakah akan kembali ke sini ke depannya? PASTI, untuk udang dan cumi nya ga ada yg kalahin (setahu sy). Klo ada yg tau tempat lain lebih mantab, boleh donk di share. Terutama jika harganya lebih bersahabat di kantong. 🤭
