Visited Ikan Bakar Cianjur Cipete, one of the go-to spots for authentic Sundanese cuisine. Conveniently located in Cipete, therefore i think it is quite a good place for Jakartans (or South Jakartans) to visits, even though traffic can get busy during peak hours.
This has been our favorite spot for Sundanese food, and we had our âmust-orderâ lineup. The Nila Goreng (fried tilapia) and Nila Pesmol (tilapia in spicy coconut turmeric sauce) are absolute highlightsâfresh, flavorful, and simply extraordinary. Another essential is the Kailan; this vegetable dish is perfectly cooked and my all-time favorite vegetable dish. We also ordered Ayam Goreng, the traditional Sundanese fried chicken, and Tahu/Tempe Goreng, which were simple yet incredibly satisfying. Of course, all of this is best enjoyed with a side of warm Nasi Putih (white rice).
This place has been around for decades, and Iâve lost count of how many times weâve visited. Itâs truly stood the test of time. The restaurant has recently undergone renovations, making the ambiance even more pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic...
Read moreGreat food -- worth the long taxi ride to it Easily a top 3 restaurant we visited during our 10-day trip in Indonesia from West Java to Bali. The fish is very well cooked and fresh. Although the staff members do not speak much English, the menu has helpful pictures and the the waiting staff members really try their best to help (a waiter [Deni or something close] even went out the way out to the street and stood there for five minutes to get us a taxi). I'm impressed by the quality of the food, the great service rendered, and the extremely reasonable prices (the three of us spent less than 20 dollars in total).
The restaurant is quite far from MONAS (expect about 45 minutes in taxi). But it is totally worth the effort to get there. If I go to Jakarta again, I will definitely make the trip to the restaurant. Simply wonderful. A meal that I will miss for...
Read moreIt's a quite traditional restaurant. The place is on the side of road, so it's easy to reach the place. The food is also really nice. The portion they serve is enough. I love to eat the fried chicken and oseng pucuk ubi. They have a lot of menu that are really nice. I also like the gurame, they have many choices of drinks like es campur, es teller, es kelapa etc. But i really like the es teller. The atmospher is nice for a family to meet up because the place is intimate. I think the restaurant is clean but when you first enter the restaurant, you will smell fishy odor all around the room in the restaurant. However, after 10 minutes, the fishy smell fades. The service is a little bit slow, and it's a little bit pricey. Overall, it's a typical sundanesse restaurant and the taste is really nice. I would recomment you to...
