Imperial Kitchen & Dimsum - Lippo Mall Kemang — Restaurant in Jakarta

We visited the restaurant at 11:00 AM and found it almost empty, with only one table occupied, and they were still eating at the time. Given the quiet atmosphere and the minimal number of guests, we expected quick service.

We promptly placed our order within five minutes—just two simple vegetable dishes and one rice—assuming that the kitchen, which wasn’t busy at all, would prepare the food quickly.

However, by 11:36 AM, the food still hadn’t arrived. When we asked the waiter about the delay, he seemed surprised as well and immediately checked the kitchen. Since it was an open kitchen, we could clearly see that our dishes hadn’t even been started—they were still in their raw state. The kitchen only began cooking after we raised the issue.

This was quite disappointing, especially since it became obvious that if we hadn’t followed up, we might have waited even longer. We ended up canceling the order. The waiter showed us the kitchen slip, and we noticed that our order had only been input at 11:17 AM—about 12 minutes after we had placed it. Additionally, the kitchen staff was delayed in starting the cooking process.

We left the restaurant frustrated, having wasted around 36 minutes waiting for nothing.

I sincerely hope the restaurant can improve its workflow. This isn’t our first disappointing experience here. We would completely understand delays if the restaurant were fully occupied or if the kitchen was overwhelmed, but in an almost empty restaurant with a simple vegetable order, this level of service is...

The food are all good, i like the variaties of dimsum and lamien. All comes in a very reasonable price. My favourite dish from this restaurant is their hainam chicken rice and asparagus soup. The waiters are usually nice and helpfull as well. Although i wouldn't recommend this place for those who doesn't have much time to eat, because this place have a long wait for the service. It usually takes 20 - 30 minutes to wait for the food to be prepare and 10 -20 minutes to ask...

I regularly order from the Pejaten and Cikarang Restaurants. Decided to Dine In at Lippo Mall Restaurant while there shopping. Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken (Asam Ayam Manis), what turned up at the table twice is nothing like what it is supposed to be. Having sent it back I got a new dish exactly the same. No taste, virtually no sauce. Very disappointing. Won't be dining in there again. Seems like the kitchen does not know the proper recipe. Do not recommend...
