ISHIGAMAYA HAMBURG & STEAK Gandaria City — Restaurant in Jakarta

My husband ordered a hamburg and katsu and I ordered a single demi glace hamburg.

Problem 1. He received hamburg omurice instead of hamburg and katsu. He didn't say anything because we didn't want to wait again. It can happen so we understood.

Problem 2. What I was served was nothing like what I saw in the photo. In the menu, demi glace hamburg contains hamburg, broccoli, carrot and/or other vege, and one whole potato, but mine had only hamburg and two streaks of long beans. Asked a server if anything was missing in the plate, but she said it's correct.

Problem 3. Along with demi glace hamburg, I wanted to order special side set, which includes a bowl of rice, soup and salad, but I was told we can't add special combo with demi glace hamburg. Instead, I was allowed to add soup salad set menu only, although there was better option. I seriously don't understand why they restrict in ordering combo menu, especially when the food is served that poorly. We saw another person who ordered demi glace hamburg and were watching how she would react. She wasnt happy either, the chef came out and apologized.

Afraid to go back because I wouldn't know how different what I actually get will be from what I order.

There was a good number of staff, but they were not attentive. It was not easy to get their attention. Wanted to get ocha refilled but couldn't.

Time gap between the two dish we ordered was long. I waited 10-15min after my husband got his food.

We both ended up having stomach problems and took turns to go to toilet over the night till next morning. I felt discomfort since that lunch and skipped dinner that day, so we assume it's...

ordered creamy spinach but it has no taste at all.

we ordered 4 dishes; 1 sirloin steak, 1 salmon genevese pasta and 2 chicken katsu curry. and an additional order of 1 sirloin steak with saudage, a gap of 5-7min from our 1st order.

3 food came out but sadly we have to wait for the 2 chicken katsu curry which arrived/served with a gap of 15-20min after the 3 food.

when asked about our 2 chicken katsu curry, the waitress explained that the chicken needed to be put in the microwave as it was not cooked well 🧐

the restaurant has an opened kitchen so the customers could see their activities.

we started dining around 18.30, at the same time there were around 5-6 tables filled with customers dining. through my observation the restaurant was not packed.

note: it’s a big seating area with maybe around 25-30 tables.

service from the wait staff was alright, but it could be improved. we did not complain about our food, but the service staff was sensitive enough to apologise with a plate of complimentary ice cream and an apology for the long waited of our 2 chicken curry katsu.

We had dinner at this newly opened restaurant and ordered food and dessert seen in pictures and drinks, not in the pictures. Their signature is burger. In my opinion, the burger was big enough, tender and juicy, but the taste is not extraordinary. The creamy condiments such as cheese, soup, and sauce were flavorful. The rest of the condiments, such as vegetables, salad, mashed potato, and rice, were standard. The drinks and dessert were also on average. Looking at the price (see picture), I think they were somewhat overprice compared to the food quality and portion, especially the burger set or plate. The ambiance was very similar to the previous restaurant that occupied this place. The services were attentive and helpful, although it took more than 20 minutes for my burger to arrive at our table.

We had another dinner for our second visit, and we ordered demi glaze cheese hamburg and salmon and hamburg. The hamburg was tender and juicy. The cheese made it better. The cheese hamburg was wrapped with aluminum foil and was cut it open when it was still hot. The...
