Koju is located in Komplek Golden Fatmawati and also Parke Parquet building. The ambience itself is very relaxing although the place is a bit hot especially during lunchtime cos the sunlight hits their large window, despite there's already a roller blind. The food is great. I have visited this place for more than 5 times and tried their mix bento, which is a generous portion, they serve ebi tempura, along with veggie tempura, and also beef teriyaki (I recommend this if you are super hungry). The tempura is crispy and the prawns are medium size but the batter is not smooth enough but not tough. Their Karaage is savoury, juicy and quiet big portion. For me, I personally don't need any condiments such as mayonnaise but I enjoy eating the Karaage with their Layu Oil (chili oil). Their Donburi is yummy, the portion is just right but for me the meat portion could be added more. Their chicken katsudon and teriyaki-don is yum, serve with scallions and fried garlic. After meal they serve some fruit (most of the time it's watermelon, melon, and papaya) and a...
Read morenow this, is a real definition of hidden gem. it's not very visible from the main street since it's located right behind MRT stairs, and it's located in the corner, on second floor.
but when you come in, it's very, very clean and neat. they have smoking room too. there are special promos (changes every once in a while). this place is owned by a japanese chef.
the taste? 🤤🤤🤤 the bento is really really REALLY worth it!!! the price is very affordable for the taste, portion, and service. the sushi rolls are also delicious! you also get free appetizer and dessert.
the service is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ i felt like coming to a fancy restaurant spending millions even though i just bought the cheapest bento🤧 the staffs are friendly, they serve food and cutleries by placing them properly on your desk.
very recommended! definitely would come back often. they close quite early though (around 8PM) so do...

A few days ago, I revisited one of my favorite restaurant in Fatmawati area, Ko'ju. A humble, authentic Japanese restaurant offering you nothing but quality and the best hospitality ever.
Though just a short walk away from Cipete Raya MRT station this restaurant is quite hidden, however that means less customer and more attention from the friendly staff each time you dine there.
I always had their Saikoro Steak each time I went there. This dish is so tasty that it has become my benchmark for every saikoro I've had or will have in the future. The saikoro just melts in your mouth. The fried garlic garnish elevates its taste a hundredfold!
Koju offer other Japanese dish such as sushi, tendon, bentos but their must have is the Saikoro Steak.
