This was my first time visiting this place, despite frequently passing by. Given that this outlet is located at Dharmawangsa Square—a place known for its reputation and upscale ambiance, I had high expectations for its cleanliness and hygiene standards.
As I was having my breakfast, I heard a distinct clipping sound, as if someone was cutting their nails. However, I couldn’t see anything unusual from my seating position. Curious, I looked around, but none of the customers appeared to be clipping their nails.
Determined to find the source of the sound, I walked toward the kitchen entrance. To my shock, I saw a staff member—uncertain if he is a waiter or kitchen worker—sitting down at one corner and clipping their nails. Nail clippings were scattered all over the floor around him.
I was disgusted and annoyed. How can such behavior take place in a restaurant where food is being prepared and served? He apologized but damage was done, I can't tell if this is a one-off incident or regular occurence (which i hope not..) because several waiters passed by this person while serving food from the kitchen, and no one bothered to address this that made me believe this might be considered normal or an acceptable behaviour.
Despite of the good food, i am writing this to raise attention and awareness to the restaurant owner. Please ensure your staff is properly trained and educated in maintaining the overall restaurant and kitchen cleanliness and hygiene. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a place of your standing.
Thank you.
Ps: i only take the view from i am seating, and the clipping happened behind the pizza counter,...
Read moreI went to Mozzeria today (Sunday) around 1.30 PM, ordered 2 pizzas; don jon and funghi also a cubano. Oddly enough, on a weekend, and during lunch hour, the deli ran out of pizza dough so they put the pizza order on hold, they need to make a new batch and informed me it will need about 30 minutes to prepare a new one.
So I add bacon & egg muffin to my order so we can fill up while waiting for the pizza. Soon, the waitress went back to our table and informed me that they need 1-2 hours to make next batch of pizzas. Since we got there just to try their pizza, it would be a waste of time if we go home without it. So I said to the waitress (Krist) that I don't mind waiting for the next pizza batch in the next 1-2 hour, I'd left my contact details so they can let me know when the pizza is ready, I'll grab it right away.
I closed my bill and just walk around for about an hour. No calls/message yet, so just went back to deli to check on my order, who knows it's done already. And, hey, whaddya know? It's done and nicely wrapped. I asked the waitress, "why don't you call me when it's done?" No answer, she just walk back; it's either she ignored my question or she didn't hear what I said? So I said thank you and be on my way. The pizza is no longer hot, it's probably done way earlier. I tried the cold pizza at home, probably tasted better when it's hot & fresh from the oven.
I spent 650k at the deli, I questioned the service quality at the deli and am quite disappointed to be honest. I hope Mozzeria can improve their service so at least it's in par with the taste of their food and the money I...
Read moreFirstly, I ordered the chicken soup, the taste was delicious and got lots of vegetables which is a plus point. The size of the bowl and the amount of food (vegetables, macaronis) inside it, is reasonable for the price (45.000 idr rupiah) and I really love it.
Secondly, for the drink, I ordered the matcha latte (also 45.000 idr rupiah) it tasted sooo Good. The sweetness is just right. Not too sweet but also not less sugar. It’s perfect. Size wise, is also reasonable especially for a matcha latte. There are other restaurants that sell matcha latte but in a smaller cup.
This on the other hand, is slightly bigger, and for the price of 45.000 idr is very nice.
All in all, I had a great time here. The ambience is perfect as well. They got great Italian music. This was a first for me and I really enjoyed my first time here.
Definitely worth it to checkout if you are in the Dharmawangsa Area, should...
