Mutiara - Traditional Chinese Food — Restaurant in Jakarta

This is our first visit, we brought our seniors and we loved the idea to visit old legend Chinese food, mutiara had a great ambience with a good deal, I thought it's a great catch, and surveyed the menus before that people loved.We order menu package H for 8 with additions, service is good, the male waitress give a good recommendation, though he forgot to input fuyunghai to our order, no wonder it never came..everything is good except the food..yup..I feel sorry to say the food isn't quite great for me..kangkung hotplate quite good but was too salty, lindung isn't fresh enough, chicken even complained By my seniors isn't fresh, mayonnaise shrimp is a soggy disaster and it's not fresh, the others passable, the only things I love for uniqueness is the fish soup, it's different than others Chinese food restaurant i had visit before, i can't say it's not bad but could be better...need more improvement especially for fresh ingredients ... Hope for more improvement for next visit.. places is great to visit for...

I used to come here over the weekends or on special occasion with my family and friends. The food used to taste great but unfortunately over the years maybe under poor management the food does not taste the same like it use too. I tend to get the sweet and sour fish it taste great but unfortunately when I got mines it taste horrible because the fish smell. Not only but when I got the braised pork it was dry and overcooked. The staff/cook was nice to made a new batch but the pork was still dry Fortunately the hot plate taste the same and remains as their highlight dish but overall my experience of the food was not delightful. I really hope I could enjoy the food like I used too and relive good moments here but I think there are better, modern chinese restaurant that is under good management take really pay attention with the qualitu...

I think this place just opened a couple of weeks ago, and what I can tell you is that this place provides you with an amazing dishes or foods like no other Chinese-food restaurants.

The price is not too expensive (well I guess its standard I guess, but the portion is also pretty worth it for the price). A bang for your bucks, I guess some people might say.

And the flavour of each dish is pretty unique in my opinion, but some people do like it and also some people do not like it. So I guess it depends on your taste.

Overall, I think this place is very good for family time, like hanging-out with your family, friends, colleagues, etc.

But do keep in mind, that this place sells pork, so yeah. If you don't eat that kind of stuff, I guess you could request it to the waiter or waitress or even the manager (idk about...
