ZENBU LIPPO MALL PURI LG Floor — Restaurant in Jakarta

Good place, good service. But giving it 2 stars simply because i got food poisoning the night after eating the salmon belly mentaiko sushi here. Usually order the teppanyaki or mozaru but decided to try other stuff. Turns out it was a bit of a miss.

Chicken Teriyaki 6/10. The sauce of the chicken teriyaki is quite nice, sweet savoury just right. Unfortunately the chicken is not that tender and juicy so it is not that good compared to other chicken teriyaki out there. Although the combination with the egg and the crispy seaweed is unique and surprisingly nice combination.

Salmon Belly Mentaiko Sushi 2/10. The Mentaiko sauce itself is quite nice. But the salmon belly itself is suspected to be the cause of food poisoning for me so giving it a 2/10 simply for lack of hygiene (either the storage condition or lack of cleanliness when handling).

I forgot that the blackcurrant tea is not refillable anymore so suggesting just get other drinks with similar price if u want a sweet drink.

Zenbu is always a one-off go to for me when im eating alone, but would stay away from raw stuff from now on at this branch, just stick to mozaru...

Mannn I had high hopes for this place. I know that they are famous for their mozaru, but I wanted to try their other food selection. So we ordered their salmon belly soup & sushi.

Sushi was waaay smaller than the average sushi portion. Some of the sushi was drenched in mayo / sauces, so its too overwhelming. The salmon belly soup... The salmon itself isnt as fresh as in Sushi Tei's and I get that they didnt serve it with any carbs. For the price point, I'd compare Zenbu to Sushi Tei.

And I learned that Sushi Tei is way more superior than Zenbu in terms of sushi & other Japanese food. More worth for money and generous portion for the price point. Maybe I shouldnt ordered their sushi but yeah I'm just reviewing this restaurant based on my order.

Ocha is free refill, which is a plus...

Zenbu is one of my favorite restaurants. Any there, i always order a mozaru.This is the second time i ate at zenbu puri. Again and again i always order mozaru with curry rice, dynamite sauce and extra cheese, then in addition to the order mozaru, i also ordered the salmon blaze & cheese gyoza. I like the cheese gyoza, but i don't like salmon blaze because when eating fish with thorns was annoyed that seemed to emanate from the unagi, and indeed everything is tasty – palatable. And for the drink, i choose lychee...
