Padang food know as one of the best in Indonesia with rich and tasty food. Even one of its signature dish called RENDANG has been chosen by CNN as the most delicious food in the world. The resto itself is big, clean, with aircon and only few meters away from the heart oF Kota Tua, Fatahillah Square. Rumah Makan Padang besar, bersih, nyaman, ber-AC di area Kota Tua Jakarta. Meski secara harga sedikit di atas harga warung padang pada umumnya tapi masakannya enak. Rendang, ayam pop, kikil dan lain2 rasanya lezat. Ada tempat parkir di belakang gedung restoran.

Very comfy place, casual dining and clean environment. You may have to share your table as some of the table is long table type. The food served here is the Padang type where they would take all small dishes on your table with wrap. If you like you open and the money would count. The food is typically local Malay cuisine and ranges from curry dishes , vegetable and fried chicken. Seafood like squid , beef and chicken with different style of cooking . Love the vegetable cooked in coconut sauce. The price for 2 around 260k for lunch .. not so cheap. This is near to National history museum and Fathila square. Helpful staff always and can guide is what to eat and order!

Padang Merdeka is located at old city area. This place serve padang food. ambiance in this place is cozy and this place always crowded at lunch time. they will serve you with all many food they have. and you can choose any food the serve. and if have a food you don’t like they don’t put it in bill. the also have a backyard for parking area. you must try there rendang , pop chicken is very famous in here. because every single table in here not one no eat pop chicken. i recommend you if you want to come to this place. And in one location have a krisna store for buy souvenir or snack from bali. The ambience

Very interesting way to eat. You can order from the menu or you can experience the classic Indonesian style of 'we are just gonna put down all this random dishes, if you touch it we charge you, if you don't we won't'. We ended up with a load of different dishes. Hard to explain what everything was but we tried it all, including the 3 different types of brain. Service was good and fast and the price cheap. Well worth a visit if you want to experience traditional Indonesian eating...

A litle bit confuse when i drop by with family from walking around kota tua. The enterance is javanese style.. Turns out to be padang restaurant. Ambience is nice.. Crew is too slow.. Pricey.. They serve me cold kaylan.. Small price but smaller portion.. So.. Pricey.. And not so tasty Lemon tea... Is another sad story.. They serve lime tea.. I give 3 stars just because the ambience is cool but the dish it self is plain.. I ordered plain rice for idr 10k and nasi ramas idr 14k

Was recommended by a friend to try this Padang food and it immediately turns out to be my favorite one in town! Not only the food that tastes so good, you will also be amazed with their interior despite of the old look from the outside (guess the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" is really true). As for $$$, it is quite pricey but really worth to spend. Recommended food: Ayam Pop Recommended drinks: Juice Terong Belanda & Markisa
