Pizza e Birra — Restaurant in Jakarta

I'm writing this review to inform the owners how poorly managed their restaurants.

Pizza e-birra is a "sports" bar(!) where smoking allowed but vaping not allowed. (Yes the same vape that's been called indoor smokers, approved by FDA in USA) What A dilemma!

I am really wondering what could be the reason other than encouraging people to smoke!? And we are talking about a so called "sports" bar. For sure I won't start smoking cigarettes, if I stop I definitely won't come to this place because as the other reviews mentioned sitting inside for one hour can poison you as you smoked one pack of cigarette + all your clothes will get smelly. People smoke like chimney inside, and management only against for vape.

I hereby condemn Pizza E-birra for their support to tobacco companies, and announcing that I will never step in this restaurant premisses.

If you saying people complaining about the smoke comes out from the vape, well same people also complain about tobacco too, so pizza e-birra show us you didn't sold yourself for tobacco companies and restrict smoking completely, prove that you are a real sports bar!

Another issue about this place is the uneducated staff. I've been literally kicked out from this place few times. Exactly same thing happened in Plaza Indonesia and in this branch. Waiting list is a total joke.

I arrived this place at 3:57pm, and the employee asked me to leave, exact sentence was "sorry sir, we have a special occasion, place is fully booked until 4pm, we cannot accept any other guests" how stupid are you? There is only 3 minutes left? Customer already inside your premises. And you asking him to leave??

Ask him to wait 3 minutes, give him maybe a complimentary drink? Besides kick him out...? Obviously staff prefer no customers coming, less work - same salary.

There was one time they gave my pizza to next table, then try to give their pizza to me and insisting that's the one I ordered, how cheap you are trying to give wrong order to customer and insisting that's what I order. I already waited 40 minutes my hands are shaking and when I'm leaving; without shame they asked me to pay two drinks I ordered (did not even finish the drinks). You are that cheap? Sure I will pay even the pizza you served to the other customer no problem.

I really like the food here, would love to give some more extra stars for the food quality but sorry, the way they treat customers uneducated unfriendly staff and management does not even...

I came here last week to find that they held an amazing live music (apparently every weekends). I was SO AMUSED I recommended this place to my friends and also advertised in my social media accounts.

Today, I came here again and found out that their table was fully booked (arrived at around 8). I asked for the waiting list, and to call me up when my turn was due, left my number, and told them I was gonna WAIT IN THE CAR--that much I wanted to be here. I remembered that the guests turnover was pretty fast the last time I went there, so I chose to wait. I was number 2 on the waiting list, seat for 2.

We waited in the car for half an hour until I went to the toilet and I passed by the place, guess what? A few visible empty tables--still no calls. Went back from the toilet, I passed by again, and MORE empty tables, a waitress was standing there doing nothing (wasn't busy cleaning up or getting order or whatever that might occupied her from calling me).

I was pretty disappointed, I told my friend to leave. At around 9, a I got a call (perhaps from them) and it lasted like 2 seconds, I didn't even have time to answer before they hung up, and never called me again.

I mean, if you don't want to call us for the waiting list, please just say so? We would have waited at the front? Or we would have left instead? Why would I waited in the car for nothing? I wasted my weekend and parking fee?

I should give 1 star, but the other 1 is for...

Located in a mall or plaza (?) So, the parking spot is adequate. They provide indoors smoking. Air circulation is great and pretty cold, actually. It's truly a sports bar with several big tv playing sports shows all the time. You can order your food online using their in-house ordering system and can even pay it in the system. The staff is really helpful and attentive! The pizza size is actually big, so it can feed 3-4 pax. The onion ring is a must to order. They have some happy hour promo such as 1 glass of beer (~300 ml) cost 35k and soju...
