Pleasant Stay at The Grove Suites by Grand Aston in JakartaRating: ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5)I recently had the opportunity to stay at The Grove Suites by Grand Aston in Jakarta for a two-day trip, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Here's a detailed review of my stay:Location and Accessibility: ★★★★☆The hotel is conveniently located in Jakarta, making it easily accessible from the airport and other parts of the city. It is situated in a vibrant area with several shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment options nearby. However, the heavy traffic in Jakarta can cause some delays when traveling to and from the hotel.Check-in/Check-out: ★★★★☆The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff at the reception were friendly, welcoming, and provided all the necessary information about the hotel facilities and amenities. The check-out process was also quick and hassle-free.Room: ★★★★☆I stayed in a spacious deluxe room that was well-appointed and comfortable. The room had a modern and stylish decor with a separate living area and bedroom. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The room was equipped with all the essential amenities, including a flat-screen TV, minibar, and a coffee/tea maker.Facilities: ★★★★☆The hotel offers several amenities and facilities to enhance the guest experience. The fitness center was well-equipped with modern exercise machines and provided a great workout environment. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing, perfect for relaxation. Additionally, the hotel has a spa where guests can indulge in rejuvenating treatments.Dining: ★★★☆☆The hotel has a restaurant that serves a variety of cuisines. While the food quality was good, I found the menu options to be somewhat limited. The breakfast buffet had a decent selection of dishes, but it could have been more diverse.Staff and Service: ★★★★★The staff at The Grove Suites by Grand Aston were the highlight of my stay. They were courteous, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. The level of service provided by the hotel staff was exceptional and contributed to an enjoyable stay.Overall, my stay at The Grove Suites by Grand Aston in Jakarta was pleasant and comfortable. Read moreThis hotel is definitely a value of money. You pay for the price of a normal hotel room and you get a big apartment which has 2 or 1 bedroom (depending on what you choose), a living room, a well equipped kitchen and a washroom. Everything is open and big. Beds were comfy. Upon check-in we were given a welcome drink which was nice of them but it tasted horrible. I personally would prefer either water or fresh juice. Just my personal preference. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and great. Breakfast was amazing for us. There was an omlette station, pancake and waffle station, drink station and fruit corner. There were many Indonesian and few Japanese dishes. As I’ve noticed, there were quite a lot of Arab people staying here which is great but there were 0 Arabic dishes in the breakfast. Since there are Arabs coming here, they should take that into consideration and at least make few Arabic dishes for them. There free afternoon tea and coffee was amazing. They had free red velvet, chocolate and pineapple cake to go along with your coffee and tea which was amazing. Swimming pool was great. Something else that I hated the most was their iron. When you press a cloth, the water keeps on falling and falling. I would suggest you to not fill the water in the iron machine and let the heat do its job. I found the room to be outdated since the furniture were all worn out and very weak. A chair had its leg loose so was moving. A simple refurbishment of the room would be nice. The location of this property is just PERFECT. There are two supermarkets and an Indonesian food centre right in front of the hotel. There is also branded Restaurants like Burger King, McD, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Bread Talk, Caribou coffee, crepe palace, an Arabic restaurant called Al Tharir and an Indonesian type restaurant called Solaria. These all restaurant are together and is just 500-600 meters from the property (Walking distance). By the way, these restaurant are located in Plaza festival which also has few branded type shops also. This area is very clean and modern. However, airport is very far from here (it will take you up to an hour to get here from the airport) and quite near to the famous mall called Grand Indonesia and Thamrin City. If you are family or Group then this place is perfect. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and I can say without thinking that I will definitely...
Read moreHad a bad experience while staying there around may 2024. Not by the hotel tho, but from the apartment next to the hotel which i believe have the same management as the hotel. The security that guarding in front of the hotel/apartment harassed me verbally, so there's a taxi (bluebird) queue in front of the hotel, i was about to take my package from gosend, and then this bluebird taxi offering me to take his ride (which i was have no intention to drive anywhere), then suddenly this security said "gak, inimah gojek" while laughing, which translate to "no, this one would take gojek", and the bluebird taxi also laugh, and then when i look at them, they look flabbergasted, and said something like "eh ketauan" which means i noticed how they were laughing at me. I feel so offended at that time, in many way its so rude for a security who like the front man of a hotel said that to me, by the way i was staying with my company for a meeting. At that moment, Maybe he thought i cant afford a bluebird taxi (?) so i immediately warn him, and report this to the hotel authorities. Well, the hotel seems to respond quickly with that, later that night, i believe the hotel manager came to my room and give me complimentary dessert, explain the situation, and apologize to me. What unfortunate about this situation is, the security who did this, doesn't have the urge to apologize directly to me, or at least tried, and the hotel seems to covered for him by saying he left early. Honestly the hotel is amazing, one of the best room i've had in a hotel. I have to give the star based on what i feel at that time, may this review actually be the evaluation next time, maybe security training, or more...
