Roast Coffee Ketapang — Restaurant in Jakarta

Visited Roast Ketapang for the first time, and it was quite enjoyable! The environment of the place is quite unique and distinctive as it is located right next to the canal and you can sit outdoor for safer spot to hangout in this pandemic situation. The building gives modern-classic vibe in contrast to the other small office buildings (ruko) located in the same area nearby it. That outdoor sitting spot is undoubtedly perfect when you are visiting in the late afternoon to the sunset time.

The interior ambience is relatively comfortable and warm, although it is not as spacious as you thought it might be from the outside. The building itself has two levels (storeys) and Roast Ketapang occupies the first floor for serving their customers. The other is for other tenants.

What I enjoyed the most for me were the kind and polite peeps at Roast Ketapang when they are serving and welcoming us. They are kind enough suggesting us the recommended menus for coffees or non-coffee drinks as well as their other delicacies. My friend and I ordered the lemon pineapple jelly drink that tasted so fresh and very sweet and strawberry grain milk which had a yogurt-texture like. Both are definitely refreshing. We added that with donat kampung and their cookies, which tasted okay... and could be improved further. Those cost us around Rp89k, which I think subjectively was quite a lot for the foods and drinks only, but then maybe that was also the cost of enjoying the dining experience there.

I really love their black coffee, they're fresh and strong. I feel like the americano tastes stronger than their long black. Nonetheless love them both.

Their srikaya toast worth a try too. It's tasty and crunchy, with srikaya jam inside. I'm a big fan of the Breakfast Set A menu. It includes 2 half boiled eggs, 2 srikaya toasts, and a black coffee for 75k.

Here they have indoor and outdoor seatings.

Indoor is so comfy especially in the morning and weekdays, perfect for WFH.

The outdoor area is mosquito-free. There's charging spot for each table, so worry not running out of battery.

Their toilet is outside of the building and they don't have tissues in the toilet. You might wanna bring some.

100% Robusta, espresso Machine was always Strong , smooth and had a nice body. No acidic💪
