Restoran EKA RIA — Restaurant in Jakarta

This is my first time to get here to celebrate my dad's birthday. This place is family chinese restaurant that have good ambience and for elderly.

Some positive things : They have lift to reach restaurant area (we can take our family member with wheelcair easily here) Nice and clean place Excellent service Great food taste and they have some unique & signature menu that not found in other resto.

Tips & Trick: Make sure you have RESERVATION before you get here. Otherwise, you should wait other people finish and it will take more than 30 mins in peak hour. They have limited parking lot. It's better if you can come earlier. Or if you arrive during peak hour (lunch / dinner), be ready to have plan B on where you can park your car.

Having new year lunch at Ekaria, high expectation that end up with dissapointment. Taste of food is great except for nasi manis which is too sweet for our taste, but the one that make it bad experience is their service. Having pre order the food and pay down payment, I expect the order is ready once we request it. Yet it tooks 30 - 40 minutes for first dishes to appear (not even rice) with a very serious complain to all the waiter. Without it maybe it will tae another 30 minutes. One of pre ordered food even does not put into the order and again need to complain again before it available

Overall it ruin 50% of lunch experience where everyone become so tense and does not enjoy the food

Come to this restaurant to eat because of the long history of the restaurant that has opened since 1925. But disappointed for the taste of the food.

Asparagus soup 7/10 taste old school Jelly fish 5/10 Fried wanton 6/10 Fried frog 5/10 Hard and chewy Pork with bun 5/10 Tasty but hard

Steam shrimp 1/10 Small little shrimp, over cooked, and the worst part each shrimp cost Rp 43.000 / each, for a little shrimp

Fry noodle, Fry rice 5/10

Go there wanna try their famous Fried Pigeon but sold out, and others famous dish also sold out.
