Food is ok (though not as good as 1 year ago last time we ate) but service is questionable.

We booked for a Iftar (6PM) and was told to order food from 2PM, so we did. We arrived at 5.30 PM as instructed to be seated. Nearing the hour of iftar we were served 1 food. Iftar on the clock, however still we only have 1 food only.

Understand there are groups maybe overwhelmed, but we thought ordering from 2PM was to anticipate this. The strange thing is all other tables have complete food already just before iftar.

So comes a question are they intentionally not prioritizing our table? Yes, our group are mostly chinese descent, and could be assumed for not fasting, but I believe professionally it shouldn't be so as we followed instructions to order from 2PM. In addition, despite of Chinese descent I am muslim and fasting too. So a little disappointed on this unfair treatment. Like why only our table only lacking the most food. Even the table beside us where the people have not arrived have their food on the table already and we only have 1 served?

After we sort of complained, food started coming but double of each order came that the staff are confused themselves. Conveying kitchen/food order management is messy...so yeah...management need to retrain service or overall...

Pretty interesting Chinese cuisine style, unlike other Chinese restaurants this place has its own Indonesian interpretation of popular Chinese recipes in Indonesia.

I ordered a fish (couldn’t remember which type but it was most likely Kakap) Asam Manis, Ayam Goreng Mentega, and Fu Yung Hai. All of these are great, portion wise it should be good for 3-4 pax. Ayam Goreng Mentega is executed very well, not overly sweet like how it usually is in generic Chinese restaurants. The fish is pretty interesting, it’s fried in fish and chips-like batter and I requested for the Asam Manis sauce to be served separately. It’s good, not like the typical Chinese fry batter style though, but taste wise and texture wise it’s still very good. Fu Yung Hai is my favorite here, EXTREMELY crispy and from my judgment they’re not stingy with ingredients (but it contains seafood so if you’re allergic please be mindful).

Price wise, I would say it’s similar to upscale Hakka or Medanese Chinese restaurants in Pluit areas. So if you’re looking for a twist in your Chinese food cravings, this place is a good option + I...

Restoran yang satu ini sudah beroperasi sejak tahun 1980. Sekarang tempatnya sudah pindah dan jadi lebih bagus dibanding tempat yang lama. Lokasinya masih sederetan cuma beda beberapa bangunan.

Berhubung saya datang di hari Minggu, saya khawatir ramai. Rupanya bisa mendaftar untuk waiting list. Namun saya langsung mendapat tempat meski sampai 30 menit lebih awal.

Sebenarnya sih dari pelayanan cukup responsif, termasuk ketika minta refill teh. Namun mengingat service charge sebesar 10%, saya berekspektasi lebih tinggi. Ketika makanan kami diantar, makanan cuma ditaruh begitu saja di meja kami tanpa permisi. Saya nggak mempermasalahkan kalau tanpa service charge atau cuma 5%, namun menjadi aspek yang saya perhatian kalau 10%.

Lalu valetnya benar-benar parah sekali. Jadi saya dan teman saya datang dan menanyakan parkir. Katanya harus valet karena mau dipindah-pindahkan dan kena charge 25 ribu.

Ketika kami keluar, saat itu sedang hujan, Dua petugas melihat kami keluar dan masih diam saja, tampak santai dan bermalas-malasan. Kami sampai bilang mau keluar, baru dia ngeh. Itupun tidak langsung gercep, padahal sudah hujan deras. Kemudian petugas masih mengambilkan kunci sesudah meminta tiket dan itu masih 5 menitan. Sampai ada 1 mas-mas (bukan petugas valet berseragam) yang memberikan kami payung.

Seharusnya kalau sudah tahu hujan dan kami keluar, ya segera dihampiri. Kami bayar valet. Itupun mobil diparkir di tepi jalan. Kalau mobil baret karena diserempet atau bahkan diderek, siapa yang mau tanggung jawab?

Untuk menunya, saya mencoba :

Ayam Goreng Mentega (Rp. 90.000)

Porsinya memang besar, bisa untuk 3-4 orang. Jadi sebenarnya dari harga termasuk oke.

Namun jujur saja, rasa ayam goreng mentega sangat mengecewakan. Ayamnya masih edible, tidak sampai watery namun tidak super alot. Tapi tekstur memang agak keras. Rasa sausnya aneh, malah cenderung manis.

Saus berwarna kecoklatan, cenderung cair dan tidak ada rasa asam gurih layaknya saus mentega pada umumnya yang sudah ada flavour tanpa menambah apapun. Memang disediakan jeruk nipis, setelah ditambah jadi lebih oke ketimbang sebelum ditambah. Namun nggak seenak bayangan saya.

Angsio Tahu Polos (Rp. 80.000)

Porsinya juga besar. Ini menu yang memuaskan buat kami. Tahunya lembut, rasa sausnya gurih.

Di dalamnya ada potongan jamur dan rebung. Rebungnya sama sekali tidak berbau. Isiannya juga cukup banyak. Untung kami pesan menu ini karena ternyata bisa jadi penyelamat rasa dari ayam saus menteganya itu. . . Overall, kami kecewa karena rasanya ternyata tidak se-oke...
