Sky Garden Cafe — Restaurant in Jakarta

I came here at Sunday, 13 November 2022, at 21.00. Came here after reading reviews of Sky Garden Cafe at several websites.

Reserved a table for two. Reservation done via WhatsApp. Sky Garden Cafe's whatsapp administrator is responding to my chat between 2 to 4 hours, so it is recommended to ask or explain your needs as descriptive as you can, but they did reply with clear and friendly message.

From what I experienced, the best time to visit, for people who prefer less crowded places, is about 20.00.

The place is at a rooftop of Rasuna Hotel. You can park your vehicle at Rasuna Hotel's parking lot, and go to floor 3A via elevator (No, Sky Garden Cafe is open to public, booking a room at Rasuna Hotel is not required). If you confused, ask the hotel's receptionist.

Several things to note: For 2 person, the minimum charge is Rp 250.000 They close at 23.00 Latest time for order at 21.30 They offer Ala Carte and Buffet menu. For buffet, a minimum of 30 person reservation is required. For reservation, you need to transfer down payment (DP) about half of minimun charge. The price list uploaded at Google Maps is still relevant.

If you look for a small place where semi outdoor night dining combined with good ambience, nice view of Jakarta's skylines, moderate food prices, this is the place to be. Reservation recommended. Food is not so bad, they serve Western and Indonesian food. We had ordered 2 pizzas, margherita and spicy tuna, they were a bit different than any pizzas we had eaten before. There is no sugo basic on the pizza but instead a lot of "mozzarella kind of cheese" and fresh diced tomatoes. While the spicy tuna is a too hot story for us, with spicy "rawit" which is very good but way too hot to handle :-) We also had pasta aglio olio which was good and the other noodle dish was mie goreng kampoeng which we thought the noodles used in mie goreng is actually same as the pasta. Chicken and beef teriyaki were both ok. French fries better than those of fast food chains. Drinks all good. Mango passion smoothies is recommended. All in all, a dining...

Sky Garden Cafe has just undergone major renovation..was very different from when i came last year. The indoor was nicer. My fav spot is still outdoor area; as we can enjoy city view while dining, sunset hour is always the best!

They serve western & local food; fav meal is sop buntut and pizza & beer bucket. To note— when you want to meet your friends here pls note that the location is at rooftop of hotel rasuna icon as some of my friends went to Sky garden apartment at setiabudi.

Overall recommended as the cafe to hang out to avoid friday traffic, plus close to the office and the price is not...
