Starbucks — Restaurant in Jakarta

One of the few joints of Starbucks where I dont want to go.

Customer treatment & staff behaviour:

Instance 1. When I entered the store there was no person who was present in the store. Every staff was inside the pantry/backside chit chatting, making noises and laughing. No one even bothered to come out while I was calling. I had to literally almost reach backside and ask someone to attend to my order. And, joke of the day was - staff who came out said "we were very busy there in important work"... Finally, with lot of back and forth querries of staff order was placed.😂

Instance 2. While I was waiting for my order to get prepared there came a little aged man (may be different nationality), may be wanted to buy something for someone else, front desk staff was totally disinterested in him. Instead of helping a customer to make a choice he was speaking with him with attitude. Staff personal was asking too many unnecessary questions which was making the customer confuse. And, after much of hassle and facial expression finally order was placed.

And, that why I dont want to visit this store again..

ps. Store was empty...

If there is a ten star available, I would like to give it to this coffeehouse.

You see, there is nothing more precious in this business than human interaction.

Let me share my oldest daughter's story.

She and her sisters and a couple of her friends were in this joint when her youngest sis (5 yo) had a stomach ache and began to cry. One of the crew saw this little commotion and came over bringing a glass of milk with him. He offered the glass to the little midget with a bit of encouragement words... voila... she smiled again.

Just today, my youngest daughter sheagain (now 10 yo) absent-mindedly left her mobile phone on the pick up counter. Then her oldest sister called her mp, talked to the person answering the call, turned out it kept safe by one of the staff.

We stayed at Double Tree by Hilton and went out in the evening to the nearest food court, and this was the nearest one. We hanged around as it was 3 levels but only 1 is for foreigners to visit I would say. They have about 10cafes and we chose several stuff from several cafes. We finally came to Starbucks to get some drinks, so we ordered espresso nacho with top ice cream for 62+19ruppies (4usd+1usd) and one more drink. I liked my drink, it was very refreshing, they the job. They are sustainable by the way as they use paper made...
