So, Okinawa Sushi turned into Sushi Mashi recently, and after digging the Sushi Mashi at IDD, I thought I’d check out their new spot in Golf Island - super close to my place.
Kicked it off with some appetizers - gyozas, chawanmushi, and a couple of rolls. They were alright, but nothing that'll leave me wanting more. Maybe it’s because I had such a great experience at IDD, my expectations were up there.
The main dishes were decent. Nothing amazing, but not bad either. But man, the garlic fried rice was a letdown. Loved it at IDD, but here? It was mushy, way too moist, and the onsen egg made it even more soggy. Plus, they went overboard with the black pepper and kinda killed the other flavors.
And gotta say, the yellow lighting in there? Not a fan. Made it tough to get a good look at the menu pics, and my food photos all came out with this yellowish tint.

What was once okinawa sushi is now under a different name. The taste have become so underwhelming and disappointing compared to its previous name.
Ordered their crispy rice salmon tartar, the rice was very tough, almost like old rice, consist of mostly rice and very little salmon.
The salmon teriyaki was badly made, very dry.
Salmon cheese katsu didn't taste very good as well, the only great thing about it is the side salad which had a slight hint of citrus, I believe.
The portion of chicken nanban is very little, making the salad beside it way larger.
Chicken curry did not arrive at all, so we cancelled it.

The ambiance was inviting, and the service was top-notch. Made a reservation prior to my visit, and they had a particular question whether I would bring an elderly or a child with me—which I rarely find here. Very helpful because I could book a table on the first floor for my mum.
Not to mention that their price range is quite wide, from as affordable as 50-60k of personal dish to 300k-ish of premium moriawase sushi.
