Tuku Kemang is hands down my superrrr favorite spot to grab a coffee, mostly after my morning workout. Itâs more than just a coffee shop â itâs become my little post-sport sanctuary. The baristas and staff? Super friendly and genuine, to the point where theyâve become actual friends.
Itâs not just the 'Kopi Susu Tetangga, less ice less sweet' (which is always on point) and the legendary 'bolu piscok' that keeps me coming back â itâs the vibe. Over time, the familiar faces I used to see every morning, just random strangers, have become my coffee buddies⊠even like family.
You donât find this kind of connection in just any coffeeshops. For me, Toko Kopi Tuku Kemang isnât just my 'tetangga'....

But was a bit annoyed by the cashier's explanation on the difference between long black and kopi hitam tetangga. She said that long black uses cipete blend....so my husband and I just starred at each other and laugh. Even an int'l chain coffee shop like sbux would not dare to assume that everyone knows their terminology.    Read moreThey're located alongside some hotel, so the parking is integrated one another, you're supposed to find the best spot. If you're using motorcycle, they provide parking at the back.
It's rare to find tuku branch that have table and seating. Usually you order your coffe and went home. But here, you can actually enjoy you're coffee here, just like any other café.
During my visit, the cashier is deaf so I use tablet to write my order. It feels kinda nice to know tuku give a chance for non-hearing individuals.
Their coffee is as good as any other tuku branches.
