Alenia Papua Coffee & Kitchen — Restaurant in Jakarta

The layout of the restaurant is quite cool with Papuan's ornaments placed very neat at the wall rack. Unfortunately, flies distract the ambience. We order nasi kuning, sayur kangkung bunga pepaya, ikan bakar and cakalang for the main course. We like the quality of the ikan bakar becaus it was grilled nicely and not too dry, different from the cakalang bakar in the nasi kuning. So we recommend for ikan bakar cakalang. For the drink, we love the es timun serut because it was served with lime and lemongrass. Highly recommended. The ice coffee avocado and avocado juice were so so. We also order bubur sagu with sweet coconut sauce. They added sweet chocolate red bean in this dessert that made it too sweet i gueess. Overall, we like our visit to this place. Since this is a cafe in Kemang, exorbitant prices are pretty much the norm. But considering the unique menu offerings here (Papuan food? How often do you find that in Jakarta) you kinda get its selling point. Ambience was interesting, there are many Papuan art pieces - you can actually buy the ones that are on display around the place.

I might have fallen in love with their blended speculoos drink, it was ridiculously good. I didn't try any of the food so no comment on that particular category. There are some electrical sockets (not that many though, nor is it that convenient) and the Wi-Fi is fast. Place isn't that crowded when I visited. Service was good. Near the window (street view) Smoking area indoor with air conditioning Brown-yellowish kind of color dominating the room. They said if its not Covid-19 policy, they used to have a life band with east Indonesian music genres. The food was taste good. I had mie cakalang for dinner and fried cassava and also fired breadfruit. It is recommended. The staff was polite and very helpful. The parking area was limited 2 cars only.
