Great Food, But Needs to Improve Many things.
Overall, I was quite pleased with the experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dim sum options that are sure to satisfy any dim sum lover's cravings. However, there are a few areas where the restaurant could improve, particularly when it comes to the welfare of their employees and the comfort of their guests.
One issue that stood out during my visit was the challenging task the waiters and waitresses faced. As the kitchen is only located on the first floor, the staff constantly have to navigate the stairs to transport trays of dirty dishes or food between the floors. To address this problem, I believe the restaurant should invest in at least two food elevators. These elevators would greatly facilitate the serving process and make it more efficient for the staff, ultimately enhancing the dining experience for guests as well.
Another area that could use improvement is the restaurant's temperature control. While the food was excellent, the air conditioning inside Winglok did not provide a sufficiently cool environment. This made the dining experience a bit uncomfortable, particularly on hot days. Additionally, I noticed that the fans in the outdoor seating area seemed underutilized. The restaurant could explore ways to maximize the effectiveness of these fans, such as optimizing their placement or increasing their number, to provide better airflow and ensure a more pleasant dining atmosphere.
In conclusion, Winglok Hongkong Dimsum TEBET offers fantastic dim sum options that are sure to please any palate. However, to enhance the overall dining experience, I strongly recommend that the restaurant management prioritize the welfare of their employees, particularly the waitstaff, by investing in special food elevators to simplify the serving process. Additionally, improvements to the air conditioning system and better utilization of fans in the outdoor area would contribute to a more comfortable and enjoyable dining environment. With these enhancements, Winglok Hongkong Dimsum TEBET has the potential to become an even more outstanding dining destination. AND DON'T FORGET TO BUY FOOD...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed by the poor service experience I had yesterday 20 Sept 2024. I brought a client, who is a foreign national, to dine at Winglok Tebet. We placed our order through the barcode menu provided, but after waiting for 5-10 minutes, nothing arrived. I had to call over a waiter to check, and despite acknowledging my request, another staff member eventually approached us, saying our order hadn’t gone through due to an error in the system. After this was resolved, the beverages and food were served promptly. My client was initially pleased with the dining recommendation.
As we decided to order two takeaway meals for him to bring back to the hotel, we requested the bill. After waiting for 5-7 minutes without receiving it, I had to ask again. When the bill finally arrived, I was informed that only non-cash payment was accepted, though we had cash ready.Throughout the meal, the staff seemed more focused on interacting with each other rather than paying attention to guests. There was poor eye contact and guests' attempts to get their attention were often ignored.
After my client received his takeaway order, I helped him book a GOJEK ride due to the language barrier. As we were meeting the driver downstairs, a waiter rushed over, accusing me of not paying the bill. I was deeply humiliated, especially since my personal belongings were still at the table, clearly indicating I had no intention of leaving without settling the payment. This lack of communication and basic courtesy left me feeling disrespected and embarrassed in front of my client. If the staff had been attentive to the guests, or if someone had been stationed near the area between the cashier and the dining room where I was seated, the situation could have been addressed before the waitress chased after me. This should never have happened to a customer.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I hope steps will be taken to ensure better service...

Located in the Tebet area, it has two floors and a parking area for cars and motorcycles that is not too large. The maximum capacity for car parking is only 6-8 cars, combined with motorcycle parking.
The interior of the building is divided into two areas, indoor and outdoor. Both areas are quite comfortable with ergonomic tables and chairs.
The menu offered is very diverse with affordable prices (for the writer). It is similar to the menus found in several branches of Wing Lok Antasari. To order a menu here, you can use the QR code scanning system, but a table menu is also provided. The order system via QR code scanning is very easy and fast (at the time of the writer's visit).
Recommended menus (for the writer):
Salted Egg Steamed Bun: It has a soft and fluffy texture, and the salted egg part melts when eaten.
Steamed Shrimp Dumpling: Shrimp coated with fine and thin flour skin, very tender with a sufficient level of maturity and not too large in portion.
Steamed Chicken and Taro: Minced chicken and minced taro with a distinctive chili oil sauce, cooked to a sufficiently tender and crispy level. However, the portion is a bit small.
Crispy Fried Shrimp: Shrimp batter coated and deep-fried in small portions. It has a decent taste for a snack-type food.
The drink menu is not very varied, so it can be considered somewhat less exciting (for the writer).
Wing Lok is open 24 hours as claimed on its neon signboard, so there is a possibility that the writer will try other more...
