A Korean BBQ restaurant in MOI, offering Halal and non-halal dishes.
Spacious, lots of private rooms, bright, clean and well organized. Just loved it.
I ordered Sundubu, Teokpoki, Pork Belly and bibim guksu (spicy cold noodle)
The banchan is the least of its kind comparing to my Korean restaurant experiences. Serving only 4 types of banchan, including small amount of kimchi. For this kind of establishment, providing this very least banchan is just outrageous. For me, banchan is to please the eyes before the meal. Unfortunately, they skip it. Too bad.
The food:
Teokpoki: the portion is OK, the variety is very good, but the seasoning was too light (seemed like the chef put too much water). Or maybe other Korean restaurants were too thick?
Sundubu: not including rice (but at least the server informed us bedorehand - fair enough). Unfortunately, just like topokki, I asked myself why they put too much water in it. The taste was so light, it made me understand why they didn't provide rice with it. The rice will make it tasteless.
Pork belly: very good cooking (grilled) very delicious and the portion was OK. Highly recommended! However there was no garlic and green chili provided, despite our request. Oh well...
Bibim Guksu (Cold noodle): this is the best of such dish. The noodle was refreshing, the seasoning is thick but not too overpowering. Very very nice, I could eat it everyday!
The price is pretty affordable for such establishment.
I was going to give it a 3 star since 2 of 4 dishes were disappointing. The banchan least varieties were included.
But one thing: the friendliness of the servers were top notch. They were friendly and keep our private space at the same time. That is amazing! That is another star!
If you don't care about banchan and love bibim guksu & pork belly, this place is recommended. But if you are a bit picky (like me), you might want...
Read moreService was great and the food was nice !! As per usual, free roasted tea, salad, side dishes and after meal drink/ice cream.
My fav side dish are always the beef stew and the fritters!! Odeng was good too...
I think the food here tasted better than the other yongdaeri branch, always lovin some good samgyetang and tried the red seafood jjang? forgot the name but the noodles tasted nice too!!
The fried chicken is just okay but the cheese and sauce combo is heavenly.
I do recc their pancake stuffs though! idk the name but it's kinda seafood vegetable batter pancake and it tasted so good.
Went here for a work meeting with 25+ people, kinda know some of my colleague gave some workers a hard time but they still properly serves us.
There are quite a bit of leftovers so I gathered it all up and asked the staff to pack it, it was packed up really nicely. The leftover cheese even got heated up before putting it in the container !! ((even though i just packed the cheese lol everyone ate the chicken)) They also rewrap the bibimbap and a lot of other things too which is super nice!!
Hopefully next time they are still welcome us cause my colleague made quite a bit of a fuss abt the side dishes 😭😭😭 ((They want quite a abit of it and other stuffs))
Real sorry abt it and i made sure to properly thank every staff when i leave the restaurant !! Thank you for the service 🙇♀️🙇♀️
Nitpicking, for some reason the VIP room mic is very echo-y and idk if there's a way to stop the BGM playing...
Read moreWe were looking forward to eat here cuz CBD's yongdaeri first experience was amazing! But we're quickly disappointed as soon as we saw how slow, really slow, the service was. Lots of waiters, but mostly trainees - trainees were kind and tried their best to deliver quickly, but what the heck are you doing long time waiters!!? One of em was busy writing down waiters' temperatures uff do that before the resto's opened please.. Side dish - we had at least 7side dishes at CBD, here's only 5.. Usamgyop - still smelled of beef, didnt smell charred at all, the taste was the same as if i grill the beef on teflon. Marinated pork - this was comforting among our not-so-good eating experience, sweet and charred pork, but still standard. Rice - even the rice was not okay 😮💨 usual korean rice is moist, this was dry..
One thing my husband kept complimenting was how good the grilled garlic and tauco sauce were, that's what's keeping him happy, how ironic as we're not satisfied with eating just grilled garlic and sauce.
So, to anyone who wants to taste the real yongdaeri, go to the one at CBD, complete side dish set, quick and professional waiters,...
