Sukiya in Mall of Indonesia is a far cry from the inviting and authentic experience of the original Sukiya locations in Japan. The setting felt uninspired and lacked the charm and coziness one would expect from a well-known brand. The overall environment was somewhat dull and uninviting.
Unfortunately, the beef bowl at this Sukiya location was a major disappointment.
• Beef Bowl: The beef was lackluster and tasted bland, lacking the rich, savory flavor that Sukiya is known for. The portion was small, and the quality of the beef was subpar, with a noticeable lack of freshness. • Egg: The egg was the biggest letdown. It was unfresh and did not have the creamy, rich texture that is typical of Sukiya’s egg toppings. This significantly detracted from the overall experience of the dish.
The service was also a disappointment. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. Orders took longer than expected to arrive, and the overall service lacked the efficiency and friendliness typically associated with Sukiya.
Given the poor quality of the food and the lackluster service, the value for money was very low. The prices did not match the quality of the experience, making it feel like a waste of money.
This Sukiya location at Mall of Indonesia was a significant letdown. The beef bowl, which should have been a comforting and delicious meal, was far from the original quality that Sukiya is known for in Japan. The unfresh egg and bland beef made for a sad and disappointing meal. Combined with uninspired service and atmosphere, this experience was far from...
Read moreThe service workers of Sukiya is fine. I’m more disappointed at the management and chefs of Sukiya that decided false advertising was allowed. The menu given to me and the menu received was different. I did not have gochujang and half boiled egg for the meal that I received. When I asked the staff, they gave me a broken half boiled egg (which is fine), but they didn’t give me any gochujang. They gave me a teriyaki sauce that’s nowhere near “spicy” as promised, and it was just a brown teriyaki sauce with sesame seeds as far as I’m concerned.
Please do better in training your staffs, because they obviously don’t know what the menu is supposed to look, and your chefs are either misinformed or instructed to comply with false advertising.
The food was meh and we got them quick considering there weren’t too many people. The waiters and waitresses did their best despite not having full knowledge of the selection of menu. Will I come here again? Unlikely, since this is the second time I’ve been tricked with false advertising for a different...
Read moreHaving early dinner with family here and we were quite satisfied with the food we ordered. Both the gyudon and the beef yakiniku bowl were above average. The beef was tender and seasoned well. To some people the gyudon here might be better than the beef bowl from other Japanese franchises. The chicken katsu curry rice was also better than ok as the katsu was tender and juicy complemented by thick savory curry sauce. One dish that could be considered a let-down was the chicken chasiu ramen. We felt it was made without a little bit attention to detail as the broth was a disappointment. For appetizers, the karaage was better than chikuwa tempura. Overall, this place may not serve you with the original taste of Sukiya's in Japan, but it surely gives you best values...
