La Grande — Restaurant in Kecamatan Abang

Where do I begin? What a wonderful all round experience, from when we first arrived we were welcomed with a positive smile and offer of service. The location alongside a rice paddy and the view from the rear of the restaurant was exceptional. We were attended by Ami, who was not just welcoming, but had a happy disposition and she absolutely improved our experience even more. The menu was extensive with something for everyone, I particularly loved their fish fingers(not the frozen type). All the food was of a high standard, as was the table service. GREAT VENUE ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS. WOULDN’T RECOMMEND OVERPRICED FOOD IN THE RESTAURANT. Visited this place many times during covid. Always a fun day out. Visited again today with my children. 15k entry for water park is a very fair price. A beautiful setting and well maintained venue, several small slides and seperate fresh water pools. Lots of fish to see and the staff even let my children feed them. We planned to eat there but were very shocked at the recent increased food prices so didn’t eat there. Over 100k for simple Nasi Goreng with tax! There was no hand soap or toilet paper in any of the toilets. No soap there is no excuse. 2 sets of menus. A touristy main one and a local one with happy hour deals at almost half the price of the tourist one ! My wife spotted some locals with the local menu. Granted the dishes are different, and the tourist prices were not exhorbitant, compared to London, haha, you got to ask yourself why some people took a look at the menu and decided to drive off somewhere else. 2 cars of 8 people, rather lost customers.
