I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I found necessary to write one for this restaurant.
To start with the positive the service is pretty good and there’s a great atmosphere with the music. The scenery is beautiful. Sadly the food was bland. I ordered a butter chicken that looked like anything but a butter chicken. It was basically a tomato soup with a few pieces of chicken in it. Very disappointing. The bread served with it was also dry and the rice uncooked. It’s the first time after 5 months in Asia that I end up in a restaurant with uncooked rice. Couldn’t finish it.
I would maybe advise you to order the Balinese dishes as they may be better than the western / Indian ones. I don’t know if the restaurant had a bad day but this isn’t acceptable.
There’s also a 21% charge (a lot of places in Bali have it but it’s the highest one I saw so far).
overpriced for the quality. I eat better at the local warung which is 5 times cheaper… Maybe the card should be reduced. Or just stop for a coffee. Hopefully there can be some improvement in the future as there’s a great potential...
Read moreWe had an excellent experience at Tirta Ayu Restaurant! I had the Nasi Goreng, and my husband had the chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes — both dishes were delicious. We also ordered fries to share, and for dessert, the mango sticky rice and an affogato. Everything was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing.
The service was outstanding — Regina ❤️ was incredibly attentive, friendly, and spoke excellent English. She’s sharp, kind, and made us feel very welcome.
The restaurant is super clean, well-kept, and has a peaceful, comfortable vibe. Although it offers traditional dishes, the flavors are very balanced — nothing too strong or spicy!! — making it a great choice for both adults and kids.

Read moreThe restaurant inside Tirta Gangga is a lovely spot with friendly and welcoming staff. The menu offers a great variety of choices, including Asian, Indian, and Western dishes. We tried the sate ayam, Indian butter chicken, and a burger. The food was delicious, though the portions could be larger—or maybe I just have a big appetite, haha!
The prices are a bit on the higher side, as they are exclusive of 21% tax and service charges, but considering it’s located inside Tirta Gangga, it’s understandable.
The drinks were nice, and the desserts were a highlight—definitely a must-try!
Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy lunch while taking in the beauty of...
