Strongly recommend to stay away from this place. We are the kind of people that like to eat well and always take time checking reviews before deciding which restaurant to eat at. We were taken here by our guide and when we checked the reviews it was already too late. First of all, the menu states prices ‘with 21% service tax’ which makes you assume that the over expensive prices already include the tax. Spoiler: they don’t, and we only found out once received the bill. We ordered american breakfast which costed 115k, the portion was tiny and the plate included a slice of ham which was completely overcooked and tasted like cardboard. I could accept having a small portion with good quality food but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. The scrambled eggs on the other hand were good. For a similar and better american breakfast we had at our accomodation, including also croissants and more stuff, we paid 60k - this is just to make you understand how uselessly expensive this place is. The staff is kind and smiling and over all the service is good. The view over the rice fields is nice and relaxing. But this is clearly a tourist trap with crazy prices that include for sure the tip for the guide that takes you here, go...
Read moreThis Resto doesn’t deserve 4 star rating. If you are a bunch of people, family or a couple, I suggest avoid this place. This place is suggested by tour operators who get a cut from your bill. The parking space is huge to accommodate more buses (should have known this as a red flag), so you can see many buses and bus load of people. If you are a couple/ family you are not the priority.
Food: A complete mislead. Not worth the money for the quantity they give. Service. There are many Warungs nearby which are way better.
Service: Pathetic. Waited for entire 50minutes for 2 chapatis (which were not) with 2 spoon of chutney which costed 80k. Complete fleece. For absolute non existent service they charge whopping 21% service charge. (ofcourse it includes the driver/ tourist operator cut). Even a small warungs do not charge commission on card payments, but these will. 3% fee for card payments.
Ambience: The rice field views are for bus customers only.
Summary: Want to have quality food, worth the money and free of Bali belly, visit La Grande restaurant right in front...

Warung Devassa – Good Vibes, But Pricey and Needs Better Hygiene
Warung Devassa has a chill atmosphere, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal. They offer a mix of Indonesian and Western dishes, with well-cooked grilled items 🔥 and popular choices like Nasi Goreng 🍚.
However, our driver mentioned that it’s expensive and not really worth the taste 💰❌. While the food is decent, the flavors don’t fully justify the price, especially when there are better and more affordable options in Bali.
One good thing is that it’s near Tirta Gangga, so if you’re visiting the famous water palace, this could be a convenient stop for a meal.
Unfortunately, we found a fly in our food 🪰😬. Our driver really wanted us to report it, but we chose not to. However, he insisted and reported it himself, which I believe was because he genuinely wanted us to have a good experience.
Overall, while the location and ambiance are nice, the price and hygiene issues make it hard to recommend. There are definitely better...
