The fact that this is rated as a one-star property is absolutely true. When we came here, these folks were pretty sweet because we hadn’t taken the boat yet, and hence paid. Once we did that, things started going downhill.
We took the snorkeling excursion and after having snorkeled at various spots in and around Bali, safe to say that this was one of the worst experiences. The water was terribly dirty, there were jelly fish all around (stinging people, including us) and their diver with us couldn’t get bothered enough with this situation. Out of the 2 hour trip, we snorkeled for probably 30 minutes, at max - a very unpleasant experience.
Once we went back to this Topi Inn place, they refused that we couldn’t take a shower because we were not eating lunch. I mean, see the reviews of their food here, people are spotting insects and they want us to eat that unhealthy food. On top of that, their staff is absolutely mannerless. One of them said, you go to your hotel and then started blabbering something unpleasant in her native language. I don’t mind if there are regulations but she should’ve told us earlier when we told her that we don’t want to eat after snorkeling. And there’s just nothing that can justify such poor behaviour. When we told her about our snorkeling experience, she just refuted the possibility of jelly fish being in the ocean.
This is the first time I have met someone so unwelcoming and been a part of such a forgetful water experience in Bali. Never recommending this to anyone, at all.
Edit (response to the owner) - hello, thank you for responding and clarifying. In that case, would strongly recommend you to have that distinction as those folks were representing your place from booking until the end. Booking, lunch preference and post-snorkeling misbehaviour - all happened at...
