Thirty Bumbu by Chop Buntut SMS — Restaurant in Kelapa Dua

My family and I love Chop Buntut. Now this restaurant in Summarecon Mall Serpong (SMS) comes up with a new concept and fresher look! It is more modern and beautiful with a good ambiance. Suitable to bring family.

The menu is still the same with Chop Buntut, but this one is more complete. Besides variant of oxtail soup and rice dishes, they also provide entree, soto, the signature mixed rice, cobekan, vegetables, along with coffee, tea, and fresh beverages.

After 2 weeks not in Indonesia, I suggested to have late lunch here after landing because I did miss Indonesian foods!

So happy that Thirty Bumbu by Chop Buntut could satisfy my craving 😊

Here are what we tried :

Tempe Mendoan (IDR 27,000) Consisting of three fried crispy tempeh with the sweet soy sauce, chilli, tomato, and shallot.

Nasi Campur Udang Ayam Goreng (IDR 55,000) One of the signature Thirty Bumbu's mixed rice menu, this is a plate of white rice sprinkled with serundeng (grated coconut) that is served with fried chicken, the spicy sambal, lawar, crispy prawn, and shrimp crackers.

Kelapa Muda Selasih (IDR 35,000) A refreshing iced drink as the combination of coconut, coco pandan...

I think this restaurant should perform more better.

The food could work more with it's presentation. The big gap of quality from menu and the food itself is concerning. The high pricing of food with how the food looks could make a lot of questions with why.

Service is good enough. Could use a little work on their food management.

Atmosphere is quite ok. It's lacking a sink to wash hands and quite crowded...

Sorry but i won't be coming back again. Food was very mediocre, we ordered the signature sop buntut but the meat was tough and rubbery. The service was poor and one of our orders came 30 mins late compared to all the other food so one person had to start eating once the rest of the group was done. The staff seemed overwhelmed, clearly undertrained and incapable of handling a...
