came here for dinner, was not impressed with the food. We love Thai food but the food that we ordered wasn't good at all. My husband ordered Masaman curry that came like a super sweet sauce with chunky chicken meat, peanuts and big chunks of vegetables. Seems like the cook drop the whole jar of their sugar. I had claypot prawn glass noodles that look nothing like it's photo, there was no prawn but only 3 little shrimps and a few chunks of pork fat inside. The only think we think is close to authentic Thai is their Som Tum / Thai Mango Salad. The place is nice and it also connected to a nice bungalow / accommodations in the back, the staff are OK but not very well briefed about their menu (had to ask the kitchen several times when we ask something about the menu), the owner and their friends talks rather loudly with the loud party music in the background, making the whole dining experience less...
Read moreBeen a chef for 15 years and sorry but it’s Bad food…
_Tom yum was overly sour, felt like chewing a lemon
_ Green papaya was just watery and spicy, no flavour
_Order the fried pork in oyster sauce and it was PURE FAT, and honestly i’m chef pork belly is fat no problem but when you got a ratio 90fat/10meat,skin, you must be having a laugh, within a minute of receiving the plate, without eating any of it i ask a waiter, to return it, i’m not gonna eat it, he says i cannot refund you, i’m like you do you no problem
_Order Thai basil mince chicken instead, i’m still looking for the thai flavour and the basil is probably still in thailand, although they were some nice kecap manis flavour and chicken cartilage for the crunch.
3 for atmosphere because there was a band.
Honestly my bad if you see an empty Thai restaurant on busy street in friday night completely empty, it’s not an invitation...
Read moreService was super slow. We ordered as a group, but only one person's order were served promptly and we had to wait for over an hour for the rest of the order, so in the end we opted for take away. Some orders were wrong, and those that were correct didnt taste like authentic Thai (I lived in Thailand and Laos for years so I know). Papaya salad was super spicy even for us Indonesians. We shared a portion and in the end still couldn't finish it because of the level of spiciness. Massaman curry was soupy and sweet instead of creamy and savoury, but the biggest disappointment is there is no roasted nuts. what kind of massaman curry is served without peanuts??? Roasted peanut is an essential ingredient in massaman curry but there wasnt any in our dish. Maybe they should rename it to sweet curry soup instead of massaman. Tried 3 different thai restos in this area and sorry to say that this...
