I would like to start by saying while this is an amazing picturesque restaurant with a wide selection of delicious offerings, I NEED to leave a review about the best service and wait staff I have ever had in my life. Mr.Wera at Hidden Gem is truly the most honorable, considerate man that we have ever had the pleasure to be served by. He was extremely professional, attentive, and knowledgeable and truly went above and beyond to take care of our every need. I am in Bali for the first time and came down with allergies, as well as a tiny bit of chill due to the wind late night at the restaurant. Since it is at A villa residence. I inquired to him if I would be able to get a blanket. He graciously said that he would ask the wait staff and came back and let me know that at the time there were no blankets available as it was pretty late into the night. He did not just stop there due to blankets not being available. He offered me his own jacket that kind of selflessness. I have never experienced in all of my 34 years of life and I have never experienced that kind of thoughtfulness and kindness, even back home at restaurants in the USA. Although I declined his jacket, his offer truly warmed my heart. Later. However, he was able to produce a larger blanket for me and I was elated. It kept me warm and I was able to enjoy our delectable dinner. Towards the end of our dinner, he also noticed that I wasn't feeling well and he offered to make me a lemon ginger tea himself. Anticipating my needs and taking care of me was completely not his job and yet he did it. Anyway. I walked away from this experience. Not just feeling like a diner at a fine restaurant but also almost family like. I will never forget Mr. Wera and the next time that we are in Bali. I will definitely be seeking him out wherever it is that he may be working at the time.
