If you’re visiting Bali and looking for a restaurant with the best scenery and most breathtaking views, Malini Uluwatu - SEAFOOD & SUNSET is an absolute must-visit. The location alone is worth every bit of the trip. Situated right on the cliffs of Uluwatu, it offers uninterrupted views of the ocean, with the waves crashing below and a panoramic cliffside setting that is nothing short of spectacular.
The view here is honestly one of the best we have seen from any restaurant, not just in Bali but anywhere. You can sit and watch the waves roll in endlessly, and if you time it right, the sunsets are mesmerizing. The entire atmosphere feels surreal, especially as the golden hour light hits the water and sky. It’s the perfect spot to relax, take stunning photos, and soak in the natural beauty of Bali.
One thing to note is that towards the far end of the restaurant, we did encounter some monkeys. It was a bit scary as they can be unpredictable, but it’s all part of the nature experience at such a wild and beautiful location.
Coming to the food, we tried a few dishes: • Nasi Goreng with seafood – Tasty and flavorful. • Nasi Goreng with chicken – Good, standard Indonesian fried rice. • Grilled Red Snapper – Unfortunately, the fish was a little bit dry and not as juicy as we expected.
For drinks, we ordered: • Watermelon juice – Fresh and very refreshing. • Lychee iced tea – Light, sweet, and perfect for the warm weather. • Iced vanilla latte – It was okay, but not something we would come back for.
While the food was decent, it didn’t quite match the high expectations set by the incredible view. Given the price point, we felt the food could have been better in terms of flavor and quality. It was not bad, but considering the cost, it didn’t feel fully worth it.
Another drawback during our visit was the number of flies while we were eating. It was quite distracting and took away from the otherwise pleasant dining experience. This is something the management could hopefully address, as it does impact the comfort of guests.
Service was good though — the staff were friendly, attentive, and tried their best to make sure we were comfortable. They were polite and helpful throughout our meal, which we appreciated.
In summary: • View/Scenery: 10/10 — simply stunning, especially for sunsets and ocean views over the cliffs. • Food: 6/10 — decent but not exceptional, especially considering the pricing. • Atmosphere: Calm and peaceful, though occasional monkeys and flies were slight downsides. • Service: 8/10 — friendly and welcoming staff.
If you’re looking for a place to enjoy the best cliffside views and sunsets in Bali, Malini Uluwatu is definitely the place to go. It’s highly recommended for the location, scenery, and atmosphere. Just go with the mindset of enjoying the view and maybe keeping your food expectations a bit moderate.
Even with the few minor issues, we’re glad we visited and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to experience one of Bali’s most beautiful...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I have had on my trip to Bali so far. My friend and I ordered the Australian beef tenderloin, but the only difference was that I ordered mine medium, and he ordered his medium well. A few minutes pass, and my friend receives his “Medium well” steak, while I’m still waiting. Eventually, my steak comes a few minutes later (My friend is already halfway through his meal), however, it is completely overcooked and BEYOND well done. I kindly ask the nice waiter if I can have a new one because this is not what I ordered, and he complied and took away the overcooked steak. So another 5+ minutes go by, and the waiter comes back with the same dish. He then said that they mixed up our dishes and that my friend’s steak was actually mine. However, the issue is that my friend already finished his steak, and they spent 5+ minutes just to bring back the same steak instead of making a new one. So the waiter offers me a new steak, and I say yes, since that’s what I wanted from the beginning. Another 10+ minutes go by, and my steak finally comes out. All of my friends have already finished their food and are now walking around the restaurant. I cut open the steak, and it looks incredibly rare. There’s even solid white stringy fat showing that it is completely undercooked and inedible. So I eat part of the steak because I am incredibly hungry and tired of this situation (only the rare parts / not the raw parts). Eventually, 15 minutes later, as we are leaving, I tell the waiter that my steak was raw. We then walked over to my plate and he confirmed that it was raw and said he was sorry for the mistakes. It was a complete disaster of a dinner and ruined my whole day. I didn’t think that this place would disappoint since it has a beautiful view, but very average service and even worse food. I couldn’t eat with my friends and I couldn’t receive and eat a properly cooked steak TWICE. Also, this steak was priced at 330,000 BEFORE TAX, so spending this kind of money would hopefully result in a well made dish but no. I also received absolutely no compensation for this and had to pay full price, without any consideration for how terrible my night was. If you come to this place, do not order their terrible idea of a nice steak. This was one of the worst nights of my life, let alone my bali trip, and I am extremely disappointed in this...

Malini Agropark Uluwatu has become my go-to spot in Bali, and for good reason. This was my third visit, and each time it just gets better. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is the incredible customer service, especially from Mitha and her amazing team. Mitha is nothing short of exceptional—her attention to detail and dedication to making every visit special is unmatched. Whether it’s handling reservations seamlessly or ensuring an amazing dining experience, she always goes above and beyond.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. As someone who cooks regularly at home, I can be quite picky about seasoning, but the chefs here nail it every time. The seafood is especially standout—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And don’t get me started on the drinks! Their cocktails and mocktails are to die for, with the Blue Galaxy mocktail being my personal favorite. It’s refreshing and just the right mix of flavors, making it a must-try.
But Malini Agropark isn’t just about food and drinks; the ambiance is magical. The sunset views here are breathtaking and something everyone needs to experience at least once. I recommend arriving around 5:30 PM to catch the golden hour—it’s the perfect time for stunning photos and videos. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
This last visit was extra special because Mitha made sure my girlfriend had a memorable evening. She and her team went out of their way to make it feel like a celebration, complete with singing and personalized touches. It’s rare to find service like this, and it’s what keeps me coming back.
If you’re looking for a restaurant with incredible food, outstanding drinks, and unforgettable sunsets, all wrapped up in top-tier customer service, Malini Agropark Uluwatu is the place to be. I genuinely love this place and can’t...
