A must-visit Turkish gem in Bali! This was my second time at Mest Turkish Cuisine & BBQ, and it just keeps getting better. We went all in—two lahmacuns (hands down the best I’ve ever had), one perfectly baked pide, a crisp salad, deliciously spicy ezme, comforting mantı, and of course, a big glass of frothy ayran to tie it all together. Every dish felt like a warm hug from home—rich in flavour, fresh, and beautifully presented. The lahmacun was thin, crispy, and packed with perfectly seasoned meat. The mantı melted in the mouth with its garlicky yogurt sauce and drizzle of butter. And the ezme? Just the right kick of heat and herbs—an absolute standout. The vibe here is relaxed and welcoming, with kind staff and cozy decor. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger long after you’ve finished eating. If you’re in Bali and craving something soulful, flavourful, and truly satisfying—this is the spot. Can’t wait to come back for round three!

I came here initially craving a kunefe but ended up ordering a kebab as well, which was decent… I’d give it a solid 7 out of 10. However, the kunefe was disappointing. It was dry, lacked flavor, and just didn’t have the quality I expected… barely a 2 out of 10. What ruined the experience, though, was the service. Some of the staff seriously need better training in manners and hospitality. I stayed until close to 11 PM, and while I understand the place was closing, I felt completely unwelcome. One of the staff pushed a chair roughly in front of me and closed the curtain beside me while I was still eating… no warning, no courtesy. A simple, polite “Excuse me miss, we’re closing soon, would you like the bill?” would’ve been enough. Even the payment process felt awkward and a bit rude. Overall, not an experience I’d want to repeat. The food might have some potential, but the service really needs improvement.

Absolutely Outstanding Experience – Like Coming Home Every Time Turkish Meat in Uluwatu is hands down one of our favorite places to eat in Bali. The food is consistently delicious, authentic, and full of flavor — but what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. We want to give a special shoutout to Eni, one of the kindest and most attentive servers we’ve ever met. She not only remembers our names but also exactly what we like to order — down to the smallest detail. Her warmth, smile, and incredible memory make every visit feel like coming home. It’s rare to find this level of genuine care and hospitality, and it keeps us coming back again and again. Whether you’re visiting Uluwatu for a few days or you’re a regular in the area, Turkish Meat is a must-visit — and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Eni, you’ll understand why this place is so special.

Final edit: Accounts who I assume to be the owner and friends of the owner started harassing me on social media and call me names.. I've never encountered such hostility and immaturity before from any establishment for something that could've been solved with some politeness (Guess they don't understand that reviews can be edited..) I absolutely do not recommend anyone to go here at this point. Grown people acting like bullies, such a disgrace..

The staff was amazing, let me start with that! They are super nice and friendly 👌The atmosphere is okay (except that they have to solve their ventilation issue, all the grill smoke was up on the 2nd floor) the issue for me was the food.. being Turkish, it didn't satisfy me. The mezes were alright but the main plates lacked in taste and size, esp for the price. Very important to mention, I got food poisoning from the food and have been suffering from it.. I could've overlooked the taste but with so much discomfort in my body from both ends, I can't give this place a good rating.

Edit: Just dropped my review to 1 star due to the passive aggressive comment from the owner. I stated that this might just have been me and it might have been one-off but that didn't stop him from being unnecessarily rude. But there you go.. I guess there's no way to state something as politely as possible and not have it be taken as an attack still. Wishing them good luck in life as well..

Edit2: Owner stated that they got in touch with my friend. I called my friend to check and they clearly did not get in touch with my friend.. Why they would lie about this is absolutely beyond me but I guess here is a lesson in how not to run an...

Visited this place due to the glorious reviews they have on Google. I ended up having the complete opposite experience to a lot of people. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get asked what food we wanted to order despite the place being empty. Me and my wife ordered our food and had to wait 45 minutes for our mezze starter, the restaurant was practically empty, for them to come up and state they had run out of the option we had picked and we had to choose something else. It happens and it’s not an issue was a bit annoying however. We then received it after another 10 minutes. The mezze was average and out of the four options we chose, only two were provided and they stuck 2 random options in and chose to not tell us. The main food took a further 40 minutes to arrive which was ridiculous, we ordered the 480,000IDR meat share platter which had almost no Meat and all bread on it, which was extremely disappointing. The meat was dry and tasted nothing like food in turkey and is by no means authentic. Food was not worth the money being charged and the service was so poor it was unreal. The waitress could see it in my face as we left that we were unhappy...

I fall in love with this place from my first visit ❤️ It’s a funny fact that I live so close to this restaurant but I have come here just after 1 month leaving nearby. My favourite dishes is falafel, hummus and pumpkin salad. I’m vegetarian and a GF person so I’m soooo happy and so thankful that here I can find so many options of food! Also I can always change some ingredients in case the dish will suite me 🥰 Thank u! The staff is so friendly, I like to come back here and see the same people, so I feel like family here!

My personal extra star 🌟 is for all the small details the owner uses in the interior (such as nice plates, things on the walls, etc.) and small flowers for decoration the food ❤️ Everything is made with a lot of love and attention!

I love this restaurant, I feel like I teleport to Istanbul but a healthy Bali stile full of green and flowers 🌸

PS Honestly, I don’t understand why people don’t like falafel here. I agree it’s unusual because it’s with mint and it’s bright green inside! And has such a unique taste. So special we can’t try it anywhere else....
